Thesethreecountriesusedtohavetheirowngovernment.TodaytheyarepartofBritain.However,theyhavekepttheiroriginallanguage,whichiscalledGaelic.ManyoftheirpeoplecanspeakbothEnglishandGaelic.ThemodernnamefortheGaeliclanguageinIrelandisIrish.InScotland,itisScottishandinWales,itisWelsh.Itisthesamenameasthepeople,fortheScottishpeoplespeaktheScottishlanguage.
