Firescanbedangerousforanimals.Evenwhenanimalscontinuetoliveafterforestfires,theycangohungrytheirfoodhasbeendamagedinthefire.
A)becauseB)althoughC)butD)so
Manypeoplethinkaccidentsoftenhappeninbusyroadsinlargecities,butthisisnotalwaystrue.,Tokyoisoneoftheworld'slargestcitiesandprobablyoneofthebusiestcities,however,therearefewaccidentstopedestrians.
A)InadditionB)ForexampleC)BythewayD)Ontheotherhand
Youmightnotwanttoeat,butthinkoffromtheparents’pointofview.Ifyoucooktwomealsaday,itmeans730mealsayear.Canyouimaginehowboringitcanget?
Imaginehowyourparentsfeelwhenyousayyou’renotreallyhungry._______,yourparentswillprobablyworriedthatyouaren’teatingenough.
A)InadditionB)InreturnC)AtmostD)Atlast
We’llsendyouaninvitationinafewweeksbutthisisjusttoletyouknowaheadoftime.Anyway,myparentswanttocelebratetheengagement(订婚)sothey’rehavingaspeciallunchonSunday3rdMay.We’reinvitingrelativesandclosefriends,_________there’llbeabouttwentypeoplethere.We’dlovetoseeyou!
It’satMartin’sRestaurant,nearthetrainstation.
A.orB.butC.soD.since
(1)
Thethingsthatwewillbeabletodointhetwenty-firstcentury(sincetheyear2000)shouldhelpuslivebetterlives,athomeandatwork,inourowncountryandaroundtheworld.Herearejustsomeofthem,putintofivegroups:
A.atthesametimeB.atatimeC.inmanywaysD.intheend
Herearejustsomeofthem,putintofivegroups:
(2)
Oncetherewasagrasshopper(蚱蜢),whowasthebesthopper(跳跃者)intheworld.Shetaughtothergrasshoppershowtohop.Soonallgrasshopperswerehoppingwell,___shefeltveryproud.
A.butB.sinceC.becauseD.so
(3)
InNewOrleans,abandoftenaccompaniedtheprocession.Onthewaytothecemeterythebandplayedslow,solemnmusicsuitedtotheoccasion.onthewayhomethemoodchanged.Spiritslifted.
A.EvenB.HoweverC.InadditionD.But

3.A。
8.A。
