Whenthedoctorsarepreparingmefortheoperation,mymotherkeptemphasizing(强调)tothemthattheyshouldpayspecialattentiontothepossibilityofmybodyoverheating.Sheknewanotherchildwithoutlimbswhooverheatedduringanoperationandwasleftwithbraindamage.Unfortunately,eventhoughtheyknewmymotherwasanurse,theydidn’ttakeheradviceseriously.Despitethesuccessfulseparationofmytoes,Ihadtobeputintobucketsoficetobringdownthetemperature.Aftertheoperation,myqualityoflifeimprovedalotfrommynewlyfreedtoes,thoughtheydidn’tworkexactlyasthedoctorshadhoped.
