1.单元（或主题）教学设计说明
本单元七个板块（Comicstrip&Welcometotheunit/Reading/Grammar/Integratedskills/Studyskills/Task/Self-assessment）基本都围绕Friends这一话题展开，语言技能和语言知识都是依据这一中心话题而设计的。
根据本单元教材设计的特点，教学活动会以话题为主线，以活动为形式，将话题，功能，结构有机的结合起来，合理组织安排学生的听说读写活动，鼓励学生积极尝试，主动实践，进行探究性学习。
多采用任务型教学法，让学生能够在参与活动，完成任务的过程中体验到成功的喜悦，从而逐步提高学生综合运用英语的能力。
2.单元（或主题）学习目标与重点难点
1.谈论人的外貌个性，掌握描述人物外貌和品质的方法。
2.运用合适的形容词来描述人的性格特征和外貌。
3.理解和掌握阅读部分的语言点，掌握有用的表达法。
4.学习阅读和记忆的方法，了解文章的组成，导入，主体和结论。
5.了解一个好朋友必须具备的重要品质。

本单元分五课时完成，主要内容集中在Comicstrip，Welcometotheunit，Reading，Grammar四个板块。
在这几个板块中，学生将重点学习如何让用形容词来描述好朋友所具备的品质，以及对人物外貌，性格特征的描写所需要掌握的重点词汇，短语以及表达法。
教师会利用多种教学方法，激发学生的兴趣。
在语法板块，重点教授形容词的比较级和最高级的用法，要让学生学会怎样用比较级和最高级来谈论身边的人和事，让学生学之有用。

本节课的主要教学内容是谈论一个好朋友应该具备什么样的品质和素质以及什么对于朋友来说才是最重要的。
在教学过程中,我们一定要让学生通过使用新单词和短语来表达自己的观点,这一点对于巩固新单词和短语是非常重要的。
也许让学生开口谈论他们的朋友比较困难,所以老师应该给予他们一些帮助,尤其是英语基础较弱的学生。

主要内容是前三篇文章的整体梳理,帮助学生了解文章,对这三篇文章有一个总体印象。
在阅读教学过程中我们应该注意:
要想提高学生的阅读能力,必须要注意培养学生的阅读技巧;在梳理文章阶段,要注意一些英文表达方式的测试来帮助学生掌握必要的词汇。
本节课针对初二学生的特点,从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发,采用了活动途径,倡导体验参与,引导学生形成灵活多样的学习方式,顺利地完成了本节课的教学任务,课堂学习目标达成度高。
