）andparticipateinthelearningclassalone.Comparedwiththis,groupworkisfocused（为什么要用被动时态？

中间的没看，光看了看目录的标题觉得还挺有调理的，导师一般也不会一个字一个字的看你的中间内容，差不多就行了，我也就是自己读着觉得改的，你仅作参考哈，有可能有改的不对的，你自己再斟酌

1Introduction

（我们那会英文论文每一段前面都不空两格，好像英文论文都是顶格写的，这个不知道，就看你们的要求了）（伴随着Alongwithsocialprogressandrapiddevelopment）Withsocialprogressandquickdevelopment（rapid感觉比quick更专业点，quick太普通了，rapid有点飞速发展的意思），cooperationisconsideredmoreandmoreimportantintherealLife.StudentsofjuniorhighschoolbelongtoHumanbeings,whoaresocialanimals.Theirexistencecannotbeseparatedfromtheinteraction.Inthenewknowledgeworld,alltheinnovationsandresearchesdemandthegroupwork.Forjuniorstudents,developmentofthecooperativeconsciousnessisthe（好多the，换换，换成an，或者themost）importantbaseoftheirmotivationofcreation.Asanimportantmethodforbothteachingandlearning,groupworkhasbecomeagoodwaytoputstudentsintothecooperationandcommunication.Itcanarousetheenthusiasmofstudentsforlearning.AnditisknownthatEnglishisaninternationallanguage,whichisanimportanttoolforcommunication.Tolearnthislanguagewell,studentsmustpracticeitconstantly.Butinthereal（换成daily，real出现在太多次了）life,therearefewopportunitiesforstudentstospeakEnglish.StudentsfeelitdifficulttospeakEnglish,andthenthinkithardforlearn.（这句话怪怪的----ManystudentsthinkthatspeakingEnglishisdifficult,thenfeelitishardtolearn）Many（改成some）studentswillgiveuptheinterestofit.Inthiscase,thegroupwork,whichisbeneficialtothepracticeofEnglish,mustbecarriedoutintheEnglishteachingclass（感觉多余，去掉）.GroupworkintheEnglishteachingofjuniorhighschoolwillbehelpfultostudentsfortheimprovementofthe（改成their）abilityandskills

2.1Thebriefdefinitionofgroupwork

Cooperativestudyappearedin1970sinAmerica,andatthebeginningitwascarriedoutandintroducedbyDavidKoonts.Cooperativestudyisanimportantstudypatternadvocatedbynewcurriculumreforminourcountryandgroupworkisitsbasicpattern[1].GroupworkisapopularactivityusedintheEnglishteachingofjuniorhighschool.

Aseveryoneknows,groupworkisamethod,astrategyinwhichcooperativemembersinthesamesmallgroupworktogethertoachieveacommongoal.Generallyspeaking,thegroupworkisbasedonthelearninggroup,andusingtheinteractionbetweendynamicfactorsinteachingsystematically,topromotestudents’studylevel.And,theevaluationstandardofthegroupworkisthegroup’sachievement,notindividual’s.Groupsandtheteacherfinishtheteachinggoaltogether.AsIsraelSharon（Sharan1990）oftheTelAvivUniversity,whowasafamouseducationalpsychologisthavesaidthat:

“groupworkistoorganizeandpromotethegeneraltermofaseriesofclassroomteachingmethod.Thecooperationduringthegroupworkofstudentsisthebasiccharacteristicofallthesemethods.Intheclass,thecooperationofthepartnersispresentthroughthegroupwork.Usually,therewillbethreetofivestudentsinonegroup.Thegroupactsasaunitofsocialorganization,wherestudentscarryoutthestudyduringthecommunicationandinteraction,aswellasresearchbygroupmembers”[2].So,Theconnotationofgroupworkincludesthefollowingaspects:

Firstly,groupworklearningisalearninggroupforthebasicformofateachingandlearningactivities;Secondly,cooperativelearningisakindofteachingactivitieswhichbasedonthedynamicInteractionandcooperationofteaching;Thirdly,groupworkisakindofgoal-orientedteachingandlearningactivities;Finally,groupworkisakindofteachingactivitiesbasedonthegroupresults.

Fromabove,thebasiccharacteristicsofgroupworkcanbesummarizedasfollowing:

First,Groupworkisateachingactivitywhichbasedongroupactivities;

Second,Groupworkisacooperationandcollaborationactivitybetweencompanions.

Third,Groupworkisagoal-orientedactivity;

Forth,Groupworkchangesthecompetitionbetweenindividualsintogroups;

Fifth,Groupworkisanactivitywhichdesignedbytheteacher.Duringtheactivity,teachingwillassignthelearningtasktothestudents,andcontroltheteachingprocess.

Itcanbeseenclearlythatgroupworkinteachinghasabeneficialeffectonstudents.Juniorhighschoolstudentsarehavethecharacteristics,suchaslovingtodotalking,active,fondofimitationandperformanceandsoon.Sothegroupworkisimportantforteaching,especiallyforEnglishteaching.Whenstudentsparticipateinthegroupwork,theywillcooperatewitheachother,whichinasocialway.AndEnglishisasociallanguage.Onthisside,workingingroupswillbenefitstudentsnotonlyonthesocialandEnglishspeaking,butalsothestudents’psychology.Groupworkrequiresstudentstospeaking,tochangetheiropinions.Andstudentswouldtobeaskedtoexplaininformationasclearastheycan.Thereisnodoubtthatstudentswillgetmorepositiveviewpointsthroughgroupwork.ItgivesstudentsopportunitiestohelpeachotherindifferentEnglishlevels,andmakesitpossibleforstudentstolearnalltogetherratherthanstudyfromthetextbookorteacheralone.

Forteachers,groupworkmakesitpossibletoinstructstudentsingroupsratherthanteachthewholeclassatthesametime.Thisgivesthepossibilityforteachertoknowthestudentsbetterthanbefore.Anditcanhelpteacherknowthestudents’weakspotsefficiently.Asaresultofthis,teachercanmaketheirteachingstepssmoothlyandorganizetheteachingtimeefficiently.Andofcourse,italsocanprotectteachers’voiceatthesametime.

2.2Theorganizationalstrategiesofgroupwork

AsthedefinitionofthegroupworkinEnglishteachinghasbeenintroducedabove,thenextimportantthingisabouthowtoperformitefficiently.Thispointismainlydependsontheconstitutor’sorganizationalstrategies.Forthisreason,inthesection,theimportantpointsthatteachershouldthinkof,therolethatteacherplaysandtheprocedureofgroupworkwillbedetailed.

2.2.1Theimportantpointsthatteachershouldthinkof

TomakesurethegroupworkinEnglishteachingcanbeputintoeffect,teachershouldthinkofthefollowingimportantpoints:

TocarryoutthegroupworkinEnglishteaching,thefirstthingistodividethestudentsintoseveralgroups.Teachersshouldpayattentiontothegroupingmethods.

Firstoneisaboutthesizeofthegroup.Thenumberofthelearninggroupisusuallyeven,generallybasedonthestudymutualgroupsoftwostudents（helpeachotherandlearntogether）.Thenaccordingtothesizeoftheclass,dividethewholeclassintofourtotengroups.Duringthegroupworktime,teachershouldchoosedifferentsizeofgroupsaccordingtothelearninggoalsandthekindofthequestions.Sometimesteacherwillaskstudentstolearninbiggroupsaswellassometimeswillbesmallgroups（thegroupoftwoormore）.
