中国是世界上吸烟人口最多的国家,差不多有一亿人.不得不承认.这些人养活了众多的卷烟厂,也为国家创造了不少的税收.

与欧美国家青少年视不吸烟为时尚.而中国正好相反,吸烟年龄越来越低龄化,女性吸烟人越来越多.

我不是烟民.所以我对于他人给我二手烟抽很恼怒.被动吸烟的威害要大于吸烟者,中国现在还没有相关法规规定吸烟行为.

Underthegreatlivingpressure,perhapshishobbyofsmokingreallycanrelaxhim.

   Someeducatedyoungpeoplelovesmokingbecausetheythinkitisverynaturalandunrestrained.Theyareusuallyveryinterestedinthecultureofsmoking.Theyreadalotofbooksonsmokingandtempttohaveatry.Ifthereissomeonewhochatswiththemonsmoking,theycantellmanyinterestingstoriesandculturalmeanings.Theysmokejustfortheircuriosity.

Whydosomanypeopleenjoysmoking？

Somethinkthatitisapleasure，somebelievethatitcanrefreshthemselves.Infact，smokingisabadhabit.Itdoesgreatharmtoourhealth，notonlytothesmokerhimself，butalsotoothers.Forsmokers，itisagreatwasteofmoney，anditcausesmanykindsofdiseases.Besides，manyfiresarecausedbycarelesssmokers.

SmokingandHealth

Wemeetsmokerseverywhere.Thereare6.5billionpeopleintheworld,andabout1.2billionofthemaresmokers,whichmakeupto20percentoftheworld'stotalpopulation.

Smokingisveryharmful.First,smokingcostsagreatdealofmoney.Itwastes200billiondollarseachyearintheworld.Second,smokingdoesharmtothehealthofsmokersandeventhepeoplenearthem.About3millionpeopledieofdiseasescausedbysmokingeveryyear.

Luckily,moreandmorepeoplehavecometorealizethegreatharmofsmoking.Toourdelightthetotalamountofworldtobaccoproductionhasdroppedfromover14billionpoundsin2000to7billionpoundsin2003.Itiscertainthatthenumberofsmokerswillfurtherdecreasegradually.

吸烟与健康

吸烟者到处可见。

世界上有65亿人口，吸烟者占12亿，占世界总人口的20％。

吸烟有害。

首先，吸烟需要花费大量金钱。

全世界每年需要浪费掉2000亿美元。

其次，吸烟对吸烟者和他四周的人有害，每年大约有300万人死于因吸烟而引起的疾病。

幸运的是，现在越来越多的人已经熟悉到吸烟的危害。

使我们兴奋的是，世界烟草的总产量已从2000年的，140亿磅降到2003年的70亿磅。

吸烟人群也必定会逐年减少的。

Still,manypeoplefinditdifficulttostopsmoking.Onereasonisthatsmokingusuallybecomesahabitualbehaviour,andhabits,whethergoodorbadarenoteasytobegivenup.Anotherreasonistheeffectofnicotine,thesubstancefoundincigarettesworksonpeoplesomewhatasdrugsdo.

Measureshavebeentakentohelppeoplekeepawayfromtheharmofsmoking.Inmanycities,smokingisforbiddeninpublicplaces.Thedangerofsmokingiswarnedofeverywhere.Andnewspapersareaskednottopublishadvertisementsforcigarettes.World"NoTobaccoDay"iso ervedeveryyearasthebiggestcampaignagainstsmoking.

欧盟禁烟宣传画:

触目惊心

香烟的害处人尽皆知，但是，仍有不少瘾君子抵挡不住香烟的诱惑。

因此，2004年，欧盟发起了一项宣传吸烟有害健康的运动，推出了十几种印有图片和口号的宣传画，像：

吸烟导致肺癌、保护孩子：

不要让他们吸入你的二手烟等等。

欧盟建议成员国将这些宣传画印在香烟包装盒上，希望这些触目惊心的图片能够引起人们的警醒。
