从大的方面看，英语演讲稿实际上属于特殊的说明文或议论文，其基本组成成分是：

（1）开始时对听众的称呼语最常用的是Ladiesandgentlemen，也可视不同情况选用Fellowstudents,Distinguishedguests,MrChairman,HonorableJudges（评委）等等。

（2）提出论题由于演讲时间限制，必须开门见山，提出论题。

提出论题的方法多种多样，但最生动，最能引起注意的是用举例法。

比如：

你要呼吁所有人关注贫困山区的小孩，你可以用亲眼看到的或者收集到的那些贫穷孩子多么需要帮助的事实开始。

另外，用具体的统计数据也是一个有效的引出论题的方法，比如：

你要谈遵守交通规则的话题，你可以从举一系列有关车辆、车祸等的数据开始。

（3）论证对提出的论题，不可主观地妄下结论，而要进行客观的论证。

这是演讲中最需要下功夫的部分。

关键是要把道理讲清楚。

常见的论证方法有举例法、因果法、对比法等等，可参见英语议论文的有关章节。

（4）结论结论要简明扼要，以给听众留下深刻印象。

（5）结尾结尾要简洁，不要拉拉扯扯，说个没完。

特别是不要受汉语影响，说些类似准备不足，请谅解，请批评指正这样的废话。

最普通的结尾就是：

今天，我演讲的题目是《我的大学，我的梦！

》。

九月－号我载着满满的行李箱来到了这——我的大学。

记得那天，教学楼门前搭满了各个系的帐篷，帐篷里装满了穿着各种颜色系服的学姐学长们。

体育馆里挤满了像我一样追寻梦想的大学生，满载而来。

我远远地看见了我们系的帐篷。

记得那天，我在学长们的温切问候中悄然度过···时间犹如白驹过隙，还没等我们回头，它却已从我们的指缝之间悄悄划过。

　　在大学里，有的人确实过得很充实、很开心，深深留恋这块他们认为是一辈子都无法重复的净土。

也有的人，从一踏进校园就很失望，觉得一切都跟自己想像的不一样，从此浑浑噩噩混日子，到最终醒悟的时候才猛然发觉，仿佛一夜之间，大学已经过去，随之逝去的还有自己宝贵的青春。

然而，只有后悔大学混了

即使是那些在校时贬他的母校犹如人间地狱的人，多年以后，回忆起大学时光，也往往会感慨万分，甚至泪流满面。
