名词所有格的构成法

a.单数名词词尾加’s,复数名词词尾如没有s,也要加’s:

theboy’sbag男孩的书包,Mike’sknife迈克的刀子,theChildren’sPalace少年宫,men’sroom男厕所

b.表示几个人共有一样东西,只需在最后一个人的名字后加’s;如表示各自所有,则需在各个名字后加’s,如:

ThisisTomandJason’sroom.这是汤姆和杰森共有的房间。

TheseareTom’sandJason’srooms.这些是汤姆和杰森各自的房间。

注意:

在某些句子里,名词所有格修饰的词,往往可以省略,如JohnsbikeisbetterthanMike’s.约翰的自行车比迈克的好。

c.若名词已有复数词尾-s,只加’:

theworkers’struggle工人的斗争,theteachers’reading-room教员阅览室

注意:

名词所有格词尾’s的读音与名词复数词尾-s的读音相同。
