Introduction
Thelandscapearchitect’sdailyworkisassociatedwithlandscapingprojectsofvaryingscales,specificsandlevels,landscaperesearchorlandscapemanagementplanning.Thelandscapearchitect'sprofessioniscomparativelynew–datingbackalittleoverahundredyearsago,whenin1863theBoardofCentralParkCommissioninNewYorkCityapprovedalandscapearchitect'sposition.Sincethen,thisnewprofessionhadofficiallygainedmorestabilityandrecognitioninitsdevelopment.Inlandscapearchitectureartsandprofessionalknowledgeinthefieldoflandscapeplanningaswellassocial,ecologicalandmentalaspectsarecloselyintertwined.Theresultsofday-to-daylandscapearchitect’sworkareoftensubjecttopubliccriticismandperception,thusinfluencingtheivolvementoftheresidentsintheissuesoflandscapeconservation,planning,designandinstallation.
