ACA投稿须知

AnalyticaChimicaActa providesaforumfortherapidpublicationoforiginalresearch,andcritical,comprehensivereviewsdealingwithallaspectsoffundamentalandappliedmodernanalyticalchemistry.Thejournalwelcomesthesubmissionofresearchpaperswhichreportstudiesconcerningthedevelopmentofnewandsignificantanalyticalmethodologies.Indeterminingthesuitabilityofsubmittedarticlesforpublication,particularscrutinywillbeplacedonthedegreeofnoveltyandsignificanceoftheresearchandtheextenttowhichitaddstoexistingknowledgeinanalyticalchemistry.

Manuscriptsdetailingfundamentalresearchonallaspectsofanalyticaltheoryandmethodology（includingchemometrictechniques）,suchasinnovativeinstrumental,chemicalandbiologicalapproaches,detectorsandsensors,sampletreatmentmethodsanddatatreatmentthattrulydemonstratenewprinciplesand/orimportantapplicationsareespeciallyencouraged. AnalyticaChimicaActa focusesonfundamentalnewdevelopmentsintheanalyticalsciencesingeneralanddiscouragesspecializedapplicationorientedsubmissionsthatareofinteresttoalimitednumberofreaders.Papersdescribingthedirectuseofroutineanalyticalmethodologiesortheirstraightforward/incrementalextensiontonewsamplematriceswillnormallyberejectedunlessnewandimportantdevelopmentsaredescribedwhichcanbedemonstratedtogiveobviousandquantifiableadvantagesoverexistingapproaches.Inallsubmissionstothejournal,authorsmustaddressthequestionofhowtheirproposedmethodologycompareswiththosepreviouslyreportedeveniftheyemployeddifferenttechniques/methodologies.Thejournaldoesnotfocusonapplicationpapers,especiallythosethatarestraightforwardutilizationsofcommercialinstrumentationorotherexistingtechniques,regardlessofhowcomplexandexpensivetheymaybe.Ifsubmitted,applicationpapersmustclearlydemonstrateahighlevelofgeneralimportanceandinteresttotheanalyticalchemistrycommunityatlarge.

Itwillnormallybeexpectedthatwherenewanalyticalmethodologiesanddevelopmentsaredescribedthesewillbeappliedtoasamplematrixofsuitableanalyticalcomplexity.Insuchcasesappropriatevalidationofthemethodshouldbeprovided,togetherwithproperstatisticaltreatmentofdata.Analyticalperformancecharacteristicsofnewmethodologiesshouldbegiven,includingsensitivity,detectionlimits,calibration,accuracy,precision,andinterferences.Theymustalsoclearlydemonstratesubstantialsuperiorityinsomeimportantrespectoverexistingalternatives.

Manuscriptsareconsideredforpublicationin AnalyticaChimicaActa （ACA）onlyonthebasisthattheworkmustbeoriginalandunpublished.Theeditorsandpublisherarefundamentallyopposedtoanyformofduplicationandplagiarismandifeitherisdiscovered,notonlywillthemanuscriptbeimmediatelyrejected,thecorrespondingauthor（s）couldbebannedfromfuturesubmissionstoanyElsevierjournal.Dependingontheextentoftheduplicationorplagiarism,theincidentmayalsobereportedtotheresponsibleauthoritiesattheauthor'sinstitution（s）.

Typesofpaper 

AnalyticaChimicaActa publishesoriginalpapers,andreviewsdealingwitheveryaspectofmodernanalyticalchemistry.Reviewsarenormallywrittenwithprioragreementoftherevieweditor.Potentialauthorsarerequiredtodiscusstheproposedtopicwiththerevieweditor,andwillbeaskedtoprovideabriefoutlineofthesubjectmatteroftheproposedreview.Reviewarticlesmustbesufficientlybroadinscopetoappealtoawidecross-sectionofthejournal'sreadership,butshouldbespecificenoughtopermitdiscussiontobemadeatanappropriatedepth.Basicmethodologyandprinciplesshouldnotbeincludedinreviews,butsuitablereferenceshouldbemadetosourcesofthisinformation.Aboveall,reviewsmustbecriticalandcomprehensiveratherthananexhaustivelistofpublishedworksontheproposedtopicandmustprovidethereaderwithexpertopinionregardingtherelativemeritsofthevariouspublishedapproachestothetopicunderreview.FiguresandTablesareencouragedinreviewarticles.Tutorialsdescribingthefundamentalprinciplesandpracticaloperationaldetailsofagivenanalyticaltechnique,sampleprocessingapproachorchemometricmethodarealsowelcome.
