Firstlistthemaincomponentsoftheenginecontrolsystem

EICUTheEICUreceivenavigationalinputfromthecontrolstations.

Themainnavigationalcommandisthespeedsetpoint(requestedspeedanddirectionofenginerotation).

IntheEICUstherawspeedsetpointisprocessedbyaseriesofprotectivealgorithms.Theseensurethatthespeedsetpointfromwhichtheengineiscontrolledisneverharmfultotheengine.Anexampleofsuchanalgorithmisthe‘barredspeedrange’

NowtheprocessedspeedsetpointsignalandtheselectedenginerunningmoderequestareavailableviathecontrolnetworktobeusedbytheECUsasareferenceforthespeedcontrolandenginerunningmodecontrol.

Theenginespeedcontrolrequiresthattheamountoffueliscalculatedforeachcylinderfiring.Thecalculationmadebythespeedcontroller(ECU)isinitiatedinrelationtothecrankshaftposition,sothattheexecutionisstartedjustintimetomakethefuelinjection.Thisiscontrolledbythetachofunction.

Theoutputfromthespeedcontrollerisa‘requestforfuelamount’tobeinjectedforthenextcombustion.Thisrequestisrunthroughdifferentprotectivealgorithms‘thefuellimit’andthe‘resultingamountoffuelcommand’isproduced.

Basedonthealgorithmoftheselectedenginerunningmode,theinjectionprofileisselected,thetimingparametersforthefuelinjectionandexhaustvalvearecalculatedandthepressuresetpointforthehydraulicpowersupplyderived.

Theresultingamountoffuelcommand,therequestedfuelinjectionprofileandthetimingparametersareallsenttoCCUofthecylinderinquestionviathecontrolnetwork.Likewise,thehydraulicpressuresetpointissenttoallACUS.

Forredundancypurposes,thecontrolsystemcomprisestwoECUsoperationinparallelandperformingthesamework,onebeingahotstand-byfortheother.IfoneoftheECUsfail,theotherunitwilltakeoverthecontrolwithoutheinterruption.

AlloftheCCUsareidentical,andintheeventofafailureoftheCCUforonecylinderonlythiscylinderwillautomaticallybeputoutofoperation.

排气阀的位置信号是用来控制阀的开关的,当其检测不到信号或者信号没有达到系统要求的排气阀的高度那么就会有SLOWDOWN信号发出。

排气阀的对应的检测信号的值为13.6MM/MA就是每移动13.6毫米对用的信号就变化1MA。

在系统中要求最低是开启66MM。

所以变化超过5MA系统就认为正常。

TheACUscontrolthepressureofthehydraulicpowersupplysystemandtheelectricalstart-uppumpsusingthe‘pressuresetpoint’givenbytheECUsasareference.Furthermorethestartandstopoftheauxiliaryblowersarecontrolledaccordingtothescavengeairpressure.

ThecontroloftheauxiliaryequipmentontheengineisnormallydividedamongthreeACUssothat,intheeventofafailureofoneunit,thereissufficientredundancytopermitcontinuousoperationoftheengine.
