I'mareallyfanofPeterJaworowskiakaTheHejz,IevenwroteatutorialforPSDTUTSshowinganeffectinspiredbyoneofthePeter'samazingworks.Thenlastweek,CameronandBobby,gavemesometipsonhowcreatethoselightstreaks,andthatiswhatIwillsharewithyouinthispost.

ThistutorialisjustanexerciseIdidwithmyfriendCamerontryingtocreateaNikead,it'snotcommercial,it'sjustbecausewelovesomeoftheiradsandwe'dlovetobeabletodesignone,maybesomeday.SointhistutorialwewillusesomeimagesandplaywithBlendModesandColorAdjustmentstocreateareallycoolNikeAdinPhotoshop.

Step1

OpenPhotoshopandcreateanewdocument.Iused1920x1200.AfterthatselectthebackgroundlayerandgotoLayer>LayerStyle>GrandientOverlay.Use#150b06and#321c0fforthegradientcolors,RadialforStyleandNormalforBlendMode.

Step2

CreateanewlayerandgotoFilter>Render>Clouds.Makesurethatthecolorswereblackandwhitefortheforegroundanbackground.

Step3

ChangetheBlendModeoftheCloudslayertoColorDodge.

Step4

SelecttheEraserTool（E）.Usearegularbrush.ChangetheHardnessto0%anduseabigsize.Nowerasesomeareas,justleavethecenterliketheimagebellow.

Placethelogoandalingitinthecenterofthedocument.GotoLayer>LayerStyles>OuterGlow.Use#fffde2forthecolor,ColorDodgefortheBlendMode,80%opacity,18%fortheSpreadand18pixelsfortheSize.Thatwillcreateaniceglowinglogo.

Step6

ThistipwasfrommyfriendCameron,hesentmethisimageandtoldmethatitwouldbeanicewaytocreatesomeeffectsliketheHejzwork.Youcandownloadtheimagehere.

Step7

Cutanareaoftheimageandpasteitinyourdocument.Rotateandresizeittofitwiththesymbol.AfterthatchangetheBlendModetoScreen.

Step8

NowgotoImage>Adjustments>Levels.Increasetheblackandtheabitofthewhiteoftheimage.That'snecessarytomatchthecolorsoftheimagewiththebackgournd.

Step9

GotoEdit>Transform>Scale,reducethesizeofthestreaks.ThengotoEdit>Transform>Warp.Movethegridtomakethestreaksfollowthesymbol.

Step10

GotoImage>Adjustments>HueandSaturation.IncreasetheSaturationandtheHue.ReducetheLightness.

Step11

Duplicatethesparkslayer.GotoEdit>Transform>FlipVertical.Thenresizeitandadjustthepositionliketheimagebelow.

CopyanotherartoftheoriginalPhotoandpasteitinyourdocument.Repeatthesteps8,9,and10.

RepeatagaintheSteps8,9,and10tocreateatailtothesymbol,liketheimagebelow.

Nowletscreatesomestars,IhaveexplainedthisinothertutorialssoIwon'tspenttoomuchtimeagain.Basicallyjustcreateanewlayerandfillitwithblack.Makesureyouhaveblackandwhiteforthebackgroundandforegroundcolors.ThengotoFilter>Noise>AddNoise.UseGaussianfor,15%Amout,andMonochromatic.Thenchangethelayer'sBlendModetoScreenandgotoImage>Adjustments>Levels.Increasetheblackandwhitelevelsuntillyougetnicestars.Thenjustrepeatthesamestepsagaininthissamelayer.

Hereit'sjusttoillustratetheideaIhadofthisgolfplayerthathittheballandtheballwasthecommetthing.SoIusedaphotofromiS,youcanbuyithere.

Step16

Placethegolferinyourimageandalignitatthebottonofthepage.AlsoselecttheBrushTool,use#d88c4dforthecolorandwithabigbrush,verysoftcreatealightbehindtheplayer.Use25%Opacity.
