2、   Aroundfouryearsago,Ireceivedacallfromtheprincipalofourschoolastothe“ParentsView”talkthenextmorning.Heaskedmetospeaktothegroup.Afterthecall,mywholebodybecamefeverishandpanicky.Thetimefromhiscalltothenextmorningseemedlikeyears.Thewholenight,Icouldnotsleepwithmanyominousapprehensionsinmind.OneofthemwastocalltheprincipalwithregretandtellhimthatIcouldnotcome.Finally,Igatheredsomecourage.Ithought,“IfImissthisopportunity,surelytheschoolwillneverinvitemeagaintoanyoftheirprograms.”

Tocomparemouseandhumanbraincells,researchersfirstanalyzedsixteenthousandhumanbraincellstakenfromthemiddletemporalgyms,apartofthecortex(大脑皮层),thebrain'soutermostlayer.Thentheylookedatcellstakenfromthesameareaofamousebrain.

“Inonesense,theyareremarkablysimilar,”Kochsays,notingthatbothmiceandhumanhadabout100differenttypesofcellsinthisregionofthebrain.Butaclosecomparisonof75ofthesebraincelltypesrevealedsmalldifferences.
