OnChristmasEve,Marmeehasjustarrivedhomefrompassingoutfoodtothelessfortunatewithaletterfromherhusband,thegirls'father.Theallgathertogetheraroundthefiretoreadtheletter.Afterwards,thegirlsaretearyeyed.Marmeekissesthemandtheyareofftobed.
Joislongingtobecomeawriter.So,everynightshestaysuplatewritingthescriptforsoapoperas.Asmorningcomessheisthelastoneawake.Thetableisset,andfoodpreparedfortheirChristmasfeast.

Everynightbeforegoingtosleep,Iwanttocarryittoread,lyinginthebed,holdingitinmyhanduntilfallingasleep.ThebookisstillnexttomewhenIwakeupthenext iswhatIwant.ThisisthefirstbookIlovesomuchtoread,becauseIliketolookintothepastfromthechildhood,Icanfindmyownshadow,myowngrowthprocess.Inthebook,Icanforgetthesadnessasachildcanputitallbehind.
ThisbookwaswrittenbytheUnitedStatesLouisa·May·Alcott.Thisbookcanberegardedasafamilybiographytoread,butitisnotabouttheadults'strugglebutthegrowthofthechildren,tellingthemhowtobecomematurefromanaive,fromvulnerabletosuffering,fromurgenttopatient,fromselftoothers.Thebookisalivelysplasheverywhere,theyoungman'sinnocence,purity,courageandvisionforthefuture.Theyarereallyimpressive.Theyfourcharacterswerecompletelydifferent.Megwas16,Jowas15,Bethwas14,Amywas12.Megwasbeautiful, sheenvied didtuloringtohelpthefamily.Joehadaeautifulhair,andshewasalwaysrunningaroundincirclesandhadastrong sheoftenmakedthingsworse,hadabadtemperanddidsomethinglikeaboy,shewas lovedwritingandshehelpedfamilybydoingnursing.
