PREPAREFORTHEEXAM

1.ReviewtheExamPrepGuidetoensurethatyouareappropriatelyskilledtopasstheexam.

2.GetNeededTraining:

BasedonyourreviewoftheExamPrepGuide,Ifyoufeelthatyouneedadditionaltraininginordertopasstheexam,gettrainingfromHPSoftwareEducationtomeetyourneeds.（PleasenotethattheseinstructionsdifferfromthoseontheExpertONEwebpagebecausetheyarespecificforPS,asopposedtopartnerinstructions,andaddressbrokenlinkforemployees）

a.Returntothecertificationinformationat（followactivities1-6inSTEP1above）andnotetherecommendedtrainingcourse（s）fortheexamyouwishtotake.

b.MakeaNoteofthenameofthecoursethatyouneedtotake

c.FollowthePSprocessforregisteringinHPSoftwareEducationcoursestoregisterforandtaketheneededcourses.Notethatthecoursenamesdonotalwaysmatchexactlythenamesprovidedin.Ifyoucannotfindthecourselistedincertificationexplorer,trychangingyoursearchontheHPSoftwareEducationsitetoamoregenericsearch（forexample,byproductname）,andlookforacoursethatissimilarlynamed. Stillcan'tfindit?

STEP4:

SCHEDULEANDTAKETHEEXAM

1.CreateanHPPearsonVUETestingProfile

a.GototocreateandactivateatestingprofileontheHP-specificPearsonVUETestingPortal.Atestingprofile,uniquetoHP,isrequiredbeforeanytestcanbetaken,eitherinpersonorweb-based.

Note:

Evenifyouhavepreviouslytakenothervendors’examsthroughPearsonVUE,youmustcreateanewprofileontheHP-specificPersonVUETestingPortal.

b.CreateatestingprofilewithintheTestingPortal.（Englishonly）

c.ActivateProfile.Withinafewminutesofcreatingaprofile,anemailwillbesenttotheemailaddressyouprovidedaskingyoutoactivateyourprofilebyenteringtheactivationcodesuppliedwithintheemailnotification.Duringthisstep,youwillbeaskedtochooseauniqueusernameandpassword.

2.Scheduleaproctoredexam,orpurchaseaWeb-basedExam-Youmayuseavoucherormajorcreditcard（AMEX,MasterCard,Visa,orJCB）topayforyourexam.

YouwillneedyourHPLearnerIDtoscheduleorpurchaseanexam.SeeSteponeofthisguideformoreinformation

a.LogintotheTestingPortalusingtheusernameandpasswordchosenwhenyouactivatedyourprofile.

b.OntheCandidateLandingPage,clickeither“ScheduleProctoredExams”toscheduleaproctoredexamor“PurchaseWeb-BasedExams”topurchaseaweb-basedexamoraweb-basedpracticeexam.

ManyPearsonVUEweb-basedexamshavearequirementthattheyaretakenwithin24hoursofthepurchaseoftheexam.EnsureyouchecktherequirementsonthePearsonVUEsitepriortopurchasingaWeb-basedExam

c.Onthescreenlistingtheexams,chooseyourexamandfollowtheon-screeninstructionstocompleteyourtransaction.

ACQUIRETHECERTIFICATIONINYOURGROW@HPPROFILE

WhenyouhavebeennotifiedofbyPearsonVuethatyouhavepassedyourcertification,youmustacquirethecertificationinyourgrow@hpprofileinordertocreatealinkagebetweentheExpertONEreportingsystemsandtheHPreportingsystems.Simply,thismeansthatyouneedtoaddthecertificationtoyourlearningprofile.Todothis,

1.PleasegototheCertificationPageonthePSLearningPortal,whereyouwillfindasectionentitledExamregistrationandguides-orfollowthislink:

2.Atthispointonthepageyouwillbeabletoscrollandfindtherecordforthecertificationyoutook. Locatethatrecord,thenclickon"ExamLink". 

3.Thiswilltakeyoutoagrow@hppageforthiscertification. Registerforthecertificationtoaddittoyourprofile. 

ThepurposeofthisstepistocreatethelinkagebetweenthePearsonVuereportingsystemandtheHPreportingsystem.ThisstepwillallowyourCertificationtobereportedinHPsystems.Ifyoufailtotakethisstep,youwillnotshowascertified!

STEP6:

REGISTERYOURCERTIFICATIONINCERTrak

WhenyouhavereceivedyourcertificationcredentialsfromtheHPExpertONEcertificationoffice,youmustaddthecertificationrecordtoHP’strackingandreportingsystemforindustrycertifications-CERTrak.Thisstepwill,inturn,allowyourcertificationtoshowupinSkillPAK,ProfessionalServices’resourcecapabilityreportingsystem.

ToaddyourcertificationtoCERTrak,gototheCERTrakhomepageat.Ifyouhaven’tutilizedCERTrakbefore,clickthe"Alreadycertified"-linkandfollowtheinstructionstocreateyourregistration.

IfyouarealreadyregisteredinCERTrak,clickthe"Display/AddCertifications"-linkandfollowtheinstructions

Makethischoice,thenyouwillbeprovidedthedropdownforthevariousHPSoftwareCertificationsbynameunder“CertificationTrack”asshownbelow

Choosethecorrectcertification,thenifyouhaveit,entertheCertificationIDnumberfromtheExpertONEprogramoffice,andthedatethatyoureceivedyourcertificationunderCertificationDate.Click“AddthisnewCertification”.

Aftercompletingthisstep,ensureyoucontinuetofollowtheCertificationGuidetoElectronicallysignyourVendorReportingReleaseForm2）inCERTrakanddouble-checkthatthecorrectCandidateID1）islisted.Yourcertificationwillbeplacedina“NotVerified”stateuntilithasbeenverifiedbytheCERTraksupportteam.
