Somemanagerstakeapaycutwhentheyjumpship–althoughstockoptionsoftenfillinthegap.ThattrendwillgoonasmoreprivateChinesecompanieslistonoverseasstockmarkets.DengKangming,forexample,sawhissalarydropby20%whenhelefthisjobasheadofhumanresourcesatMicrosoftinBeijingforasimilarjobatNetauctioneerAlibabaTechnology,buthewasofferedenoughoptions.
