Mymotherhadguestsoapsinthebathroom.Inahomewithveryfewluxuries(奢侈品),thosetinyrosesofgrapepurpleandlemonyellowrepresentedsomethingspecialtoher;theyweresomethingshewantedtokeepniceforourguests.Soshekepttheminacoveredglasscontainer,wheretheywouldbesafefromthemanysetsoflittlefingersinourhouseholdthatneededwashing.ThosesoapsdecoratedtheshelfinthebathroomforaslongasIcanremember.Theretheystayed,displayeduntildustcakedinthecontainer,andtheroseslosttheirbeauty.Buttheywereneverused.
