形容词比较级
（一）英语形容词、副词比较级的构成
英语形容词比较等级有三个：
原级，比较级和最高级。
形容词比较等级形式变化有规则的和不规则的两种。
1、规则变化
1）单音节词末尾加-er（比较级人-est（最高级）
【例】原级
比较级
最高级
great
greater
greatest
small
smaller
smallest
clean
cleaner
cleanest
2）单音节如以
e结屋，
只加-r（比较级），-st（最高级）
【例】wide
wider
widest
3）闭音节单音节词如末尾只有一个辅音字每，须先双写这个辅音字母,
-est（最高级）
【例】big
bigger
biggest
hot
hotter
hottest
red
redder
reddest
再加-er（比较级）,
more和most。

5）其它双音节和多音节词皆在前面加单词【例】carefuldifficult
（距离）（程度）
注：
有些形容词一般没有比较等级。
如：
right,wrong,woolen等
（二）形容词/副词的比较级的用法:
1、原级（同级）比较2as・・・as…；notas（so）•••as*"

2、可修饰比较级的词2much,alittle,even,far,alot»rather

3、不含“tlum”，但蕴含着比较意义。

t…的句型转换.前者为简单句，主语只有一个，而后者为复合
4、too…to…太…以至于…
（1）too…to与so…that9
句，主语有两个，试比较：
（2）too…to…与notenoughto句型的转换：

5.用比较级表示倍数关系：

（2）Ais…timesasbig/high/long/wide/large（形容词原级）asB（用法类似于1〉AsiaisfourtimesaslargeasEurope.
（3）Ais…timeslarger/higher/longer/wider（形容词比较级）thanB.

6、用比较级表示最高级：
形容词或副词比较级+than+alltheother+名词复数/anyother+名词单数。
如：
约翰是班里最高的男生。
Johnisthetallestboyintheclass.
Johnistallerthanalltheotherboys/anyotherboyintheclass.
7、themore***..themore….表示"越越"：
Themorebooksyouread,thewideryourknowledgeis.
Themorefoodyoueat,thefatteryouare.
&moreandmore….表示"越来越”:
Moreandmorestudentsrealizedtheimportanceofaforeignlanguage.Ourcountryisgettingstrongerandstronger.
（三）形容词、副词最高级的用法
1、形容词最高级前必须加the,副词最高级前常省略the,后面多用of表不范围：
Itwasthemost/leastinterestingstoryIhaveeverlistened.

2、序数词通常用来修饰最高级。
如：
