NobeleconomicswinnerJosephStiglitzandtheformerWorldBankchiefeconomistagreewithMokoenaandbelievethattheneedtoswitchtogreentechnologyshouldbeseenasanopportunityandnotasaburden.
WheninSouthAfricaearlierthisyear,Stiglitzsaidaswitchtogreentechnologywouldstimulatedemandforarangeofgoodsandservices,whichwouldhaveabeneficialimpactontheaftermathoftheglobalrecession.Heurgedpolicymakersnottobeheldbackbyshort-termperspectives.
InnovationGrouphasalreadydevelopedareliablealternateenergysolution,whichthecompanybelieveswillchangethelandscapeofthisemergingmarketandothercompanieswillfollowsuiteandofferrenewableenergysolutionsforemergingeconomies.
