However,whatIsawwascompletelydifferent.Theapartmentbuildingwasnowindisrepair.Whatwasoncemorethanaplacetolivelookedhardlyworthlivingin.Thewindowswereallbroken.Theoncecleanwallswerecoveredwithdirtymarks.Theriverwashardlyrecognizable(可认出的).Thewaterwaspolluted(污染)andthetreesandflowerswerealldead.Theoncesweetsmellingrivernowsmelledterrible.Itwasreallyheartbreakingtoseeallthis.
