Atfirst,thereweresomanyrunnersclosetogetherthatwewerealmostfallingovereachother.Wecouldonlyrunveryslowlybutthatwasagoodthingbecauseitmeantthatwedidn'trushofftooquickly.Graduallytherunnersspreadoutandtherewasmorespace.Therewerethousandsofpeoplewatchingusalongtherouteandtheycheeredandclappedeveryone,eventheslowestrunner.Itwaswonderful!
Forthefirst10kmIfeltveryhappyandmylegsfeltverycomfortable.However,at15kmIgotapaininmysideandrunningbecamedifficult,butIkeptgoingandthepaindisappeared.Atthe30kmmark,Ifeltextremelytired,andwantedtostop,butIkeptongoing.Icoveredanother3kmandthenIbegantofeelbetteragain.
BythetimeIreachedthe35kmmark,IknewIwasgoingtogettotheendofthecourse.Somehowthatconfidencemademefeellighterandfasteranditseemedasifmylegsflewoverthelastfewkilometers.Ipassedhundredsofslowerrunners,someofwhomhadpassedmeearlier,andIfeltwonderful!
ASIcameroundthelastbend(弯道)andsawthefinishingline,Icouldseethreerunnersaheadofme.Iracedpastallofthemtofinishtheraceinjustunderfourhours.Thewinnerhadcompletedtheracein2hoursand10minutes,butIdidn'tcare!
