Asmodernsocietydevelops,peoplenowadaysareconfrontingmoreandmorestressbothintheworkplaceandintheirfamily,whichhaveinevitablyshedgreatimpactonpeople'sphysiologicalandmentalhealth.Therefore,sportshaveplayedanincreasinglyimportantroleinpeople'sdailylife.Somepeoplewhoadvocatesportsaremoreimportanttoelderpeoplearguethatsinceolderpeoplegenerallysufferfrommoreillnessandareunderacomparativelypoorhealthcondition,theyshoulddefinitelydomoresportsthantheyoungerones.Onthecontrary,therearestillalargenumberofpeoplewhomaintainthatdoingsportsismoreoratleastequallyimportanttoyoungpeople.AsfarasIamconcerned,Ipreferthelatterone.

Somepeopleclaimthatthereisnonecessityforyoungpeopletotakesportsasseriousastheolderone,however,thiskindofthoughtissuperficialandlackdeliberateconsiderating.Thereisnodenyingthatyoungpeoplearehealthierthantheelderones,butthisshouldnotbethereasonforthembeinglazyandneglecttheimportanceofsports.Inmostcasescommonlyseentoday,youngpeoplefeelthattheyarestrongandfullofenergy.Fortheydonotrealizethattheywilleventuallygrowoldsomeday,theyarelikelytodropinsomebadhabitsoflifesuchasoperatinginfrontofthecomputerforalongtimewithoutevenmovingalittle.Orbeingmoreoften,theyaretrappedincountlessbusinessandsomemeaninglesssocialactivities,andthustheyfailtospareanytimetodosportsregularly.Asaresult,theirhealthconditionisdeterioratingevenwhentheyarestillyoung,andtheydonothavetheopportunitytoregret.

Furthermore,wehavetofacethefactthatoncethephysicalhealthisdamaged,thereishardlyanyhopetorestoreit.Supposeayoungpersonwhoignorethetruevalueofdoingsportseveryday,instead,heenjoyhislifebyeatingunhealthyfood,drinkingtoomuch,orstayinguptillverylateatnight.Thereisnodoubtthattheunhealthylifestyleandalackofregularexercisinghabit,hewillunavoidablebeattackedbysomediseaseslikeobesityorheartattack.Whenhefinallybecomesanoldmanandputweighonthesignificanceofdoingsports,allthingsarekindoftoolatetoorebuild.

Consideringallthefactorsabove,wemayagreeontheconclusionthatdoingsportsisequallyimportanttoyoungpeople,althoughmaybeolderpeople,atthesametime,shouldpersistindoingsportsaswell.Thepointnowfacinghumanityisthat:

TherearemanymeritswhichthetraditionalparentsofChinaexpecttheirsonsanddaughterstoobtain,anditisgenerallyacceptedthattheessentialoneisbeingobedienttotheirparentswithoutquestioningtheparents'decisionandshowfullrespecttotheelderonesinthefamily.However,asthemodernsocietydevelops,Chinaiscontinuingchangingandthethoughtsandideashavevariedinsomesense.

TraditionallyinthepastChinesefamily,therearemorethanonechild,andthesonsofthefamilyareexpectedtogotoschools.Then,whentheygrowup,theyshouldtakethecompleteresponsibilityoftheirfamilyandbusiness.Besides,itisalsorequiredbytheirparentsthattheyshouldhavetheirownsonsinorderthatthefollowedgenerationcouldinheritboththeirfamilynameandfamilyaffairs.

Onthecontrary,however,girlsareexpectedtostayinthefamilywithoutevenseeinganyoneelseexcepttheirfamilymembers,untiltheygrowtothelifestageofmarriage.What'smore,peopleinthetraditionalsocietywidelyagreethatitisthegirls’inheritedmeritandresponsibilitytogivebirthtoatleastoneson,whichishighlyvaluedineveryfamilyinthatperiodoftime.Andalsothepointis,daughtersgenerallyhavenorighttodecidewhotheyarewillingtomarry,whichmeans,theirparentschoosehusbandsforthem,whomtheydonotloveorevenseebefore.Butthetoughfactis,theyhavetoobeytheirparentsdecision.

WhileintheoldsocietyofChina,anyformofdisobeyisregardedasrebellinceanddisrespecttoparents,thingsarequitedifferentnow.EspeciallywhenChinaadoptedtheone-childpolicy,almosteveryfamilyinChinahasonlyonekid,whoismorelikelybeingdotedorevenspoiled.WhatwecanviewasacommonphenomenoninthenowadaysChinesefamilyisthattherolesofthefamilymembershavebeenreversed.Childrenarenowbeingdescribedas"littleemperors"or"littleempresses",whoareconstantlydemandingcandies,toys,andevensomekindsofluxuriesfromtheirparents,andironically,parentsarehappilytofollowtheirkids'instructions.Moreover,agreatstridehasbeenmadebytheyoungwomeninChina.Oppositetotheolddays,womeninthemodernsocietyhavedevelopedamuchmorepositiveattitudetowardstheirlifeandwork,whiletheystillrespecttheirparents'decisiontoalargeextent,theytendtolistentotheirownheartsandfollowakindoffreewill,thatis,takeauthorityintheirpersonallife.

Whentakenallfactorsintoconsideration,wecansafelycometotheconclusionthattheinvaluablevirtuesofsonsanddaughtersofChinesefamilyhavebeenremained.Atsametimenowadays,theseyoungpeoplehavemorefreedomtobeinchargeofthelife.

Asmodernsocietydevelops,peoplenowadaysarespendinganincreasinglylargeamountoftimeintheirworkplace.Therefore,co-workerisplayingamoreandmorecrucialandindispensibleroleinpeople'sdailywork,andatthesametimeshedsgreatimpactonpeople'slifeinmanyaspects.Frommyownperspective,themostvaluablecharacteristicsofagoodco-workerincludetheteamspirit,hardworking,andasenseofhumoraswell.

Co-workerswhopossessahighteamspiritalwaysputtheorganization'sinterestinthesameplace.Theirabilityandwillingtocooperatewithfellowsaregenerallystrongercomparetothosewholacktheawarenessofteamwork.Asisoftenthecase,ifsomeoneinthegroupofprojectisconfrontingdifficultieswhichhecanhardlyhandlethemalone,theco-workerwiththeteamspiritisreadilyavailabletoofferassistanceinordertosolvetheproblemtogetherwithinagroup,andsubsequentlyitturnsouttobemoreefficientandharmoniousinacertainworkgroup.Moreover,aco-workerwhoobtainsteamspiritismorelikelytoendurehisorherfellows'weaknessandlearnabouttheirmeritsatthesametime,andthustheycanworkasawholetoachievebetterqualityandoutcomeoftheirwork.

Anotherequallyimportantvirtueofagoodco-workerisbeingindustriousandhard-working.Theyshoulddevotetotheirworkheartandsoul,oratleast,befullyawareoftheirresponsibilityintheoccupation.Noonecoulddenythatonlywhentheemployeesfocusenoughattentionontheirworkcantheyaccomplishtheplanedgoalsofthecompany.Forinstance,whenacompanyisfacingatightdeadlineforanimportantclient,aco-workerwithanindustrioushabitisundoubtedlymorewillingtoworkovertimeandevenstayintheworkplacetillverylatetofinishhisjob.Moreimportantly,hisbehaviorwillcertainlyberecognizedasagoodexampleandstimulateshisfellowworkerstodedicatemoretimeandenergyinpursuitofachievingtheirsharedobjectives.

Finally,itisalsonecessaryforagoodco-workertomaintainasenseofhumor.Supposesomeoneintheworkplaceisfullofteam-spiritandhard-workingbutunfortunatelylackasenseofhumor,thereishardlyanypossibilityforhimtobepopular,orevenworse,hisoutstandingworkperformancewillonlyincurjealousnessandhatredfromhiscolleagues.Ontheotherhand,ifheiscapabletobuildaharmoniousatmospherearoundinthecompanybymakingsomedelicatejokes,heismorelikelytobeadmiredandrespectedbyhisfellowmen.

Anyway,whentakenallthesefactorsintoconsideration,wecansafelycometotheconclusionthatalthoughtherearenumerousvirtuesofagoodco-worker,themostsignificantandcriticalonesareteamspirit,industrialism,andneedlesstosay,agoodsenseofhumor.Onlywhenoneacquiresallthesethreepersonalities,willhehasagreateropportunitytobeagoodemployeeandbecomingmoresuccessfulinthefuturecompetition.

Noonecoulddenythatthebasicprerequisiteoftheprosperityforanycommunityistheeducationtoitscitizens.Ifahighschoolissupposedtobebuiltinourcommunity,somepeoplemayopposethisideabecausetheyclaimthatthenewbuilthighschoolwillunavoidableleadtomorenoisesandmassesofpeoplecrowdedinthecommunity.However,frommyownstandpoint,Iholdthebeliefthatalthoughtheremaybeminordisadvantagesforbuildinganewhighschool,thepositiveimpactscaneasilyoutweighthenegativeones.

ThepriorandmostsignificantreasonIwanttogiveisthenecessityofeducationtothechildreninthecommunity.SincethecommunityIliveinisarelativelysmallone,therearenotenoughhighschoolsforstudentstoenrollin.Consequently,manychildrendonotevenhavetheopportunitytoattendhighschoolandreceiveadequatefurthereducation.Moreover,whatisbeyondourimaginationisthatthiskindofsituationwillprobablyresultinsomemoreseriousproblemssuchasincreasingcrimerate,homelessness,drugaddictiveandsoforth,duetoalackofaproperguidanceprovidedbyhighschools.Onthecontrary,anyway,ifthereisachancetobuildanewhighschoolinourcommunity,thingswillchangeentirely,andpeoplewhoobtainahigherlevelofeducationwillsurelybeabletocreateaharmoniousatmospherewithinthelocality.
