ThisapplicationclaimsfromthepriorityofKoreanPatentApplicationNo.2004-59838,filedonJul.29,2004,intheKoreanIntellectualPropertyOffice,thedisclosureofwhichisincorporatedhereininitsentiretybyreference.

BACKGROUNDOFTHEINVENTION

1.FieldoftheInvention

Thepresentinventionrelatestoanelectronicapparatus,suchasavideotaperecorder（VTR）,aCD-ROMdrive,avideodiscapparatus,adigitalaudiodiscapparatus,adigitalvideodisc（DVD）playerandaDVDplayerhavingaVTRfunction,andmoreparticularly,toadooropeningandclosingdeviceforopeningorclosingadooroftheelectronicapparatus,andanelectronicapparatushavingthesame.

2.DescriptionoftheRelatedArt

Generally,inanelectronicapparatus,forexample,aDVDplayerthatrecordsorreproducesinformationonadiscoracassette,afrontdoorforclosingadoorwaywhichallowsentranceandexitofadiskoracassette,anddoorsforcoveringopeningsofanaudio/video（A/V）connectingjack,acontrolbutton,oramemorycardareprovidedonafrontpaneloftheelectronicapparatus.

ThesedoorspreventimpuritiessuchasdustfromenteringtheopeningsoftheA/Vconnectingjack,thecontrolbuttonandthememorycard,totherebyimprovethequalityofappearance.

Further,thedoorsforcoveringtheopeningsoftheA/Vconnectjack,thecontrolbuttonandthememorycardhavedooropeningandclosingdeviceswhichkeepthedoorsstationaryattheiropenedorclosedpositionsafterthedoorsareopenedorclosed.

FIG.1illustratesaconventionalelectronicapparatus1includingadoorforcoveringtheopeningofanA/Vconnectingjackhavingadooropeningandclosingdevice.

Theelectronicapparatus1includesafrontpanel2andamainbody3.Thefrontpanel2includesafrontdoor4,acontrolbuttonportion5,amemorycardopening9,andaconnectingjackdoor7.Thefrontdoor4includesadoorway2adisposedatanupperportionofthefrontdoor4ononesidethereof,toallowentranceandexitofadisctray（notshown）mountedwithadisc（notshown）oracassette（notshown）.Thecontrolbuttonportion5isdisposedbelowthefrontdoor4andincludesapluralityofcontrolbuttons6.Amemorycardopening9isdisposedatanupperportionofthefrontdoor2onitsothersideandisalignedwithaslotofthememorycarddevice（notshown）providedinamainbody3sothatamemorycard（notshown）forstoringinformationisinsertedintoortakenoutfromtheslotofthememorycarddevice.Theconnectingjackdoor7isrotatablyprovidedinarecessedportion18whichisformedonthefrontfaceofthefrontpanel2belowthememorycardopening9,andcoversA/Vconnectingjacks8aprotrudedtowardtherecessedportion18ofthefrontfaceofthefrontpanel2ataconnectingjackportion8（seeFIGS.2Aand2B）providedonthebacksideofthefrontpanel2andwhichareconnectedtoanexternalapparatus（notshown）.

InFIGS.2Aand2B,theconnectingjackdoor7issupportedsoastorotateaboutfirstandsecondhingeshafts12（onlyoneisshownforillustrationpurposes）,whichareformedonthefrontpanel2,byfirstandsecondhingedparts11（onlyoneisshownforillustrationpurposes）protrudedatbothlowerportionsoftheconnectingjackdoor7.

Further,theconnectingjackdoor7includesadooropeningandclosingdevice14whichkeepstheconnectingjackdoor7stationaryinaclosedposition（seeFIG.2A）andanopenedposition（seeFIG.2B）.

Thedooropeningandclosingdevice14includesalockingsurfaceportion15formedonthehingedpart11,andalockingsupportportion20verticallyprovidedonthebacksideofthefrontpanel2forresilientlypressingthelockingsurfaceportion15.

Thelockingsupportportion20includesasupportingbracket21verticallyformedadjacenttoonesideoftheconnectingjackportion8onthebacksideofthefrontpanel2,andanelasticpiece23protrudinglysupportedtowardthelockingsurfaceportion15bythesupportingbracket21.

Theoperationofopeningorclosingtheconnectingjackdoor7constructedasabovewillnowbedescribedbelow.

InFIG.2A,whentheconnectingjackdoor7isclosed,thelockingsurfaceportion15ofthedooropeningandclosingdevice14ispressedbytheownelasticityoftheelasticpiece23,abuttingontheelasticpiece23ofthelockingsupportportion20.Thus,theconnectingjackdoor7iskeptinaclosedpositionwithoutmovingintoarecessedportion18ofthefrontpanel2.
