"Webasicallynoticedthatsomeoftheextrafoodfromthedininghallwasgoingtowasteattheendoftheday.Andwemetwiththediningservicesandaskedthemwhetheritwouldbeokayif,insteadofthrowingoutthefood,wewoulddonateit.Andtheywereonand"hesaid.
So18monthsago,thestudentsbeganwhattheycalltheFoodRecoveryNetwork.Eachnight,volunteerswouldshowupatacampusdininghalltopickupleftoversanddeliverthemtoareasheltersandfoodbanks.
