Oneevening,Brownie’sfamilynoticedthatBrowniehadn’treturnedhome.Theywentlookingforhimwithnosuccess.Browniedidn’tshowupthenextday,and,althoughtheymadetheireffortstofindhim,bythenextweekhewasstillmissing.Curiously,SpottyshowedupatBrownie’shousealone,barkingandjumping.Busywiththeirownlives,theypaidnoattentiontothenervouslittleneighbordog.
Finally,onemorningSpottyrefusedtotake“no”forananswer.Ted,Brownie’sowner,wascontinuouslydisturbedbytheangry,determinedlittledog.SpottyfollowedTedabout,barkingallthetime,thenrushingtowardanearbyemptylotandback,asiftosay,“Followme!
