小议中西方婚姻的文化差异和交融

【摘要】婚姻是人们成长后必须要面对的一个永恒的话题，在当今社会，许多人喜欢与外国人结婚，甚至引以为荣。

然而不同的文化背景可能会给异国婚姻者带来思想上的冲突以及其他方面的消极影响。

这篇文章将会通过对比分析在全球化的背景下中西方婚姻文化体制的不同。

并且作者把重点放在导致中西方不同婚姻观的婚姻文化以及不同的婚礼仪式。

此外，随着不同国家间交流的不断加深，中西方婚姻文化的相互影响是不可避免的。

因此，我们应该适当的了解一些不同国家的婚姻文化，本文中，作者还将为那些跨国婚姻这提出一些维持幸福婚姻的简单建议。

[Abstract]Marriageistheeternaltopicpeoplehavetofacewhentheygrowup,andinthemodernsociety,somepeoplemayprefertomarryaforeignerandevenbeproudofit.However,duetodifferentculturalbackground,theconflictsbetweentransnationalmarriagesmayhavesomenegativeeffects.ThisthesiscomparesandanalysesthedifferencesofnationalmaritalculturesystembetweentheChineseandwesterncountriesunderthebackgroundofglobalization.AndtheauthorwillfocusonthedifferentmarriageculturewhichleadstothedifferentconceptorattitudetowardmarriageandthedifferentweddingetiquettebetweenChineseandwesterncountries.Besides,withthefrequentcommunicationamongdifferentnations,themutualinfluenceofeasternandwesternmarriagecultureisinevitable.Therefore,theauthortriestooffersomecasesoftransnationalmarriageandbrieflypointoutwhatpeopleshouldtakeheedofwhentheymarryaforeigner.

1.Introduction

Asweknow,peopleofdifferentcountrieshavedifferentcommunicatinghabitsduetotheirdifferentculturebackground.Sincethepolicyofreformandopening-upwereputintoeffort,Chinesepeoplehavemoreopportunitytocontactwithpeoplefromwesterncountries.Asaresult,communicatingwithpeoplefromdifferentculturalbackgroundhasbecomeamust.Therefore,thestudythatlooksathowpeoplefromdifferingculturalbackgroundscommunicate,insimilaranddifferentwaysamongthemselves,whichisknownasInterculturalCommunication,hassprungupintheacademicfields.Amongthedifferentfieldofresearches,somescholarsareinterestedinthestudyofthecomparisonofeasternandwesternmarriagecultureasmoreandmoreChinesepeopleareexperiencingtransnationalmarriages.Generallyspeaking,Westernpeoplelookmoreopen,enthusiasticandextrovert,whileChineseappearstobemoretraditional,conservativeandintrovert.Inwesterncountries,peoplegetmarriedbecausetheyloveeachotherandarehappytolivetogether.However,inChina,somepeoplegetmarriedmaybeoutofmoneyorsocialstatusorsimplybecauseofbeingattractedbyappearance.Somewomenmarryforeignersandfeelproudofit.Someevenconsideritafashiontohavetransnationalmarriage.RecentlyreleasedNationalCivilAffairsstatisticsshowthatChina'sdivorceratehasincreasedforsevenconsecutiveyears,transnationalmarriageisnoexception.Therearemanyreasonsleadingtodivorce,however,asfortransnationalmarriage,misunderstandingandcommunicationbarrierscausedbydifferentculturalbackgroundsisoneofthemainfactorsleadingtodivorce.AstheCanadianplaywrightRaymondHullsaidthat:

"Allmarriagesarehappy. It'sthelivingtogetherafterwardthatcausesallthetrouble."（2011:

par40）.Sonomatterforwhatreasondowemarryaforeigner,inordertomaintainaharmoniouslife,we'dbetterlearnsomethingaboutthedifferentmarriageculturebetweendifferentcountries.

Marriageistheprocessbywhichtwopeoplewholoveeachothermaketheirrelationshippublic,official,andpermanent.Itincludedphenomenallove,happiness,andfulfillments.Cultureofmarriageisthetrendacountrydealswithitsmarriageproblemsinthinkingandactions.Marriageactsasthemirrorofsocietyofallages,whichreflectsthedifferentsocialsituationofeachstageindetail（Wood,2010:
