Inadditiontobeingplayful,dolphinsarehelpfultomen.Forexample,as400B.C.theGreekpoetArionwassavedfromdrowningbyadolphin.Fromthenuntilnow,dolphinshavebeenhelpingswimmerswhoareintrouble.Swimmers,however,arenottheonlyhumanstheyhelp.Insomepartsoftheworld,theycanbecountedontohelpmencatchfish.

Moreover,dolphinsareveryintelligent.Adolphin'sbrainresemblesahumanbrain,butitislarger.Consequently,somepeopleclaimthatdolphinsarereallysmarterthanmen.Ofcourse,thereisnowayofprovingthispoint.Brainsizeisnotanabsolutemeasureofintelligence.Furthermore,measuringdolphins'intelligenceinotherwaysisnotpossiblesincemencannotfullycommunicatewiththem.Apparently,however,dolphinscommunicatewitheachother.Atanyrate,theymakewhistling,clickingandbuzzingsoundswhichseemtobeatleastaformoflanguage.Sofar,however,menhavenotbeenabletofigureoutthecommunicationcodethedolphinsuse.

不仅如此，它们还能帮助人们捕鱼。

它的大脑与人类的相似，但容量更大。

因而有人宣称，海豚真的比人更聪明。

当然，现在没法证明这点。

脑容量并不是一个决定聪明程度的检测标准。

还有，由于人们无法完全同海豚进行交流，也就不可能用其他方法测定它们的智力，然而，海豚与海豚之间显然能进行交流。

不管怎么说，他们发出的哨音、咔哒声和嗡嗡声等至少是一种语言的形式。

但是，迄今为止人们尚不能解释海豚语言交流的密码。
