DueAttentionsShouldBeGiventotheStudyofChinese

AlmostnooneinChinafailstonoticethefactthatmanyastudentpayslittleattentiontothestudyofChinese.SomedeclinetogotoChineseclasses,somereadfewChineseclassics(中国古典文学)andsomescarcelywriteinChinese.

Therearetwocrucial(重要的)factorsaccountingforthesephenomena.Foronething,moststudentshavethethoughtthatit’snotsensibletospendsomuchtimeonourmothertongue.Foranother,theincreasingemphasisputonso-called“practicalsubjects”relatedtothepursuitofjobalsocutsintostudent’stimeandenergyspentonthestudyofChinese.Ifweturnablindeyetothisproblem,severeconsequencesmaybegenerated.Tonameonlyafew,weaknessinChinesemaygiveforthtotheignoranceofChinesecultureandhinder(阻止,妨碍)student’sstudyinothersubjects.

Frommypointofview,effectivewaysmustbetakenbeforethingsgetworse.Inthefirstplace,schooloughttoattachmoresignificance(重要性)toChinesestudy.Inthesecondplace,studentsshouldenhancetheirawarenessoftheimportanceofourmothertongue.Onlyinthesewayscanweexpecttheoveralldevelopmentofstudents.

二、ShouldParentsSendTheirKidstoArtClasses

Weallknowthephenomenonthatmoreandmoreparentssendtheirkidstoartclasses.AccordingtoasurveyconductedbyChinaDaily,morethan77.2%ofparentsarewillingtosendtheirkidstoartclassesand64%ofthemaredoingit.Nevertheless,opinionstowardsthisphenomenonvaryfrompersontoperson.

Somepeopleholdafirmpositionthatitisbeneficialtoattendartclasses.Notonlycanstudentslearnsomeartskills,buttheyhaveaccesstoexpandingtheirintereststoalargeextent.Moreover,kidscanmakealotoffriendsthere,andthustheircommunicationskillscanbesharpened.

However,othersholdanoppositeopinion.Theyarguethatkidsshouldbegivenmoreflexibletimetorelaxanddowhatevertheyareinterestedin.Unacceptableartclasseswillabsolutelyeliminate(消除)thenatureofkids.Therefore,sendingkidstoartclassesblindlywillundoubtedlyhurtthembycontrast.

Frommyviewpoint,children’sinterestsshouldberespected.Interestisthebestteacher,thusletthemmakedecisionsontheirown.

三、ShouldWeTotallyTurnTotheInternet?

Withthesteepblossomoftechnology,moreandmorepeoplehaveaccesstoInternetandtheyareinclinedtogetanswerstotheproblemsfromInternet,whilereferencebooks,likedictionaries,havefallenintodisfavor(失宠).

ThereasonforthisproblemisthataccesstotheInternetismoreandmoreconvenientandtheInternetisabundantinresources.However,therearesomenegativeaspectsoffulldependenceontheInternet.Foronething,itishardtodistinguishtheusefulandreliableinformationfromfake(假的)information,notensuringtheanswersarecorrect.Foranother,gettinganswersdirectlyfromInternetwillmakepeoplereluctanttododeeperresearch,andthenpeoplewillhaveasuperficial(肤浅的)knowledgeofsomequestionsandmayformaflippant(轻率的)attitudeinthelongrun.

Fromtheaboveanalyses,wecandrawtheconclusionthatInternetisausefulcomplementbutnotareplacementofreferencebooks.Takingadvantageofthetwotoolswisely,wecanlearnmoreefficiently,accuratelyandthoroughly.

 

四、OnCollegeStudentsEnteringMarriageuponGraduation

Nowadays,somecollegestudentsentermarriageupongraduation,whichhaveattractedsufficient(充分的)attentionandbroughtaboutheateddiscussionamongpeople.

Thereasonstoaccountforthisphenomenonarecomplicated(复杂的).Generallyspeaking,themajorityofstudentsgraduatefromcollegewithanageformarriageallowedbyChineselaw.Tothosewhohavefoundlovers,enteringmarriageupongraduationisanaturaloptionandisregardedasbeginningavitalphaseoflifeinaccordancewiththeChinesetradition.What’smore,confrontedwithfiercecompetitionatthejobmarket,collegestudentsmaychoosetoentermarriagetomitigate(减轻)pressure.Finally,thisphenomenonalsohassomethingtodowithpeople’sconceptofworkandfamily.Thosewhoputfamilybeforeworkmaychoosetoestablishafamilyfirstanddevelopcareerlater.

Inmyview,althoughmanycollegestudentsarephysicallymature,theyarenotmentallymatureorfinanciallyindependent,thusgettingmarriedupongraduationmaybecomeheavyburdenforthem.What’smore,tryingtofindthroughmarriagethecomfortandsecuritymaynotbefoundinthejobmarketisinnowayanultimate(最终的)solution.

七、HowtoImproveStudent’sMentalHealth

Ithasbeenincreasinglyacknowledgedthatstudent’smentalhealthisofvitalsignificanceduringtheiryearsofstudyincollege.Insubstance(事实上),ithasbeenafocusofpublicattentionrecently.
