Hi,everybody.Mytopictodayis"Problemswithoureducationalsystem".Idisagreeonalotofthewaysthatthingshavehappenedforalongtimeinoureducationalsystem.Itseemsthateducatorsjustwanttogivestandardizedtests,whichfocusonlyonacademicperformanceandneglectstudents'abilitiesandinterestinotherareas.Ithinktherearealotofpeoplewhoareveryintelligent,buthaven'thadtheopportunitiestheycouldhavehadiftheyhadlearnedinabroader-mindededucationalsystem.Ifeelthatalotofcoursesthatstudentsarerequiredtotakeinhighschoolaretooacademic,and,asaresult,manykidshavelosttheirinterestinlearning.Educatorsoftenfailtorecognizevariouskindsofintelligence.Theysimplyexertalotofpressureonstudentstobeaswell-roundedaspossible.Ithinkbeingwell-roundedisn'treallypossible.Andasaconsequence,somestudentsIbelievetobeintelligentcan'tgetintogoodcollegesifthey,youknow,haven'tscoredwellonthemathsection,eveniftheyarebrilliantwriters.Anotherthingthatdisturbsmeisthattheso-calledweakstudentsareseparated
