I、不定式作目的状语

1)构成:

to+动词原形,否定:

nottodosth.

2)有时为了强调,把不定式放在句首,或在不定式前加inorder或soas,inorderto引导的目的状语,可以放在句首,也可以放在句尾;而soasto引导目的状语,只能置于句尾。

3)不定式作目的状语,它的逻辑主语是句子主语,如不是,则要用for…结构引出逻辑主语。

4)inorderto可用inorderthat替换:

soasto可用sothat替换,但that后接句子,句中需用情态动词,can,may,could,might等。

eg.1)Youmustdoeverythingyoucantohelpthem.

2)Tobeagoodteacher,heworkshard.

3)Inordertocatchupwithothers,hestudieshard.

Ⅱ、结果状语从句:

引导结果状语从句连词通常有:

sothat,so…that,such….that…

▲sothat也可引导目的状语从句,这时从句中常用can/could/may/might等情态动词。

引导结果状语从句时则不用情态动词。
