hewasdeepfeelingwithhismotherwhichwasdifferentfromnormalone.Before1913Lawrencewasfellinlovewithawomanwhowasolderthanhim.HisworkSonsandloversisbasedonhislifeexperienceshavewritten.TheheroPaulMorelwasborninbrokenfamily.Hewasdeepfeelingwithhismotherwhichwasdifferentfromnormalone.Thisabnormalloveinfluencedhiswholelife,influencedhistwicerelationships.PaulfellinlovewithMiriam,buttheybrokenupatlastbecausePaulcouldnotbearMiriam’slove,MiriamwantedtocontrolPaul.ThesecondwomaninPaul’slifewasClarawhowasamarriedwoman.Thelovealsoendednotlong.Becauseofconflicts,Mrs.Morelwasexhaustedandshediedattheend.Fromthenon,Paulgotridoftheshacklesofhismotherandledanindependentlife.SonsandLovers,isaspecificevidenceoftheOedipuscomplex.Freudintroducedtheterm“Oedipuscomplex”alsocalled“Motherfixation”accordingtotheAncientGreeceandRomemythologyinwhichOedipuswhokilledhisfatherandmarriedhismother.AfterintroducingtheformandinfluenceofMotherFixation,themostimportantistheinfluenceofMotherFixation,itrevealstousthathowmotherFixationinjurethebodyandsoulofpeople.

D.H.Lawrencewasborninminer’sfamilyofEnglandin1885.Hisfatherwasatotallyilliterateminerandhismotherwasaprimaryschoolteacherwhowasborninanoblefamilywasawomanofstrongcharacterandrefinement.ThebrokenmarriageofD.H.Lawrence’sparentsledtoanunluckyfamily.Growingupinapoorandbrokenfamily,theyoungLawrencewasphysicallyweakandfullofillness.Hehadadeepfeelingwithhismotherwhichwasdifferentfromnormalone.Lawrencewasaliteraturegeniusthathestartedtopublishhisworksfrom1906.In1913hismostgreatworkSonsandLovespublishedandthenovelarousedstrongreverberatesintheliteratureworldwhichestablishedhispositionintheliteraturehistory.In1912,Lawrencegotacquaintedwithwifeofaprofessor,Friedaweekly,whowas6yearsolderthanLawrence,amotherofthreechildren.Then,theyfellinlovewitheachotherandelopedtoGerman,fromthenon,theyledavagrantlifeuntilhedied.In1903,LawrencediedinthesouthofFrance.Duringhislifetime,Lawrencepublishedlotsofworks,suchasWomaninLove,Rainbow,SonsandLoversandsoon,whicharelovedfarandwideintheworld.
Inthe19thcenturyofEngland,thepeopleweredividedintothreestratums.Theyweretheupperclass,themiddleclassandthelowerclass.Peoplefromdifferentclasseshaddifferentgoalsandtheyweretreateddifferent.Sothatfamilyofequalstandingwereregardedseriously.Lawrence’father,theminerofcoursefromthelowerstratumwasilliteratedandcholericwithabadtemper.HegotacquaintedwithLawrence’smother,aprimaryschoolteacherwhowasfromthemiddleclass.Thewomanwasveryprideandshealwayscomplainedthatherhusbandwasvulgarpersonwithoutanyambitionandregrettedthatitwasmiserabletomarryhim.Theunluckymarriagewasbornwhichwasthebasisfactorofabnormallove.Thearrogantwomanputmuchattentiontohersonthatshewantedtorealizeherdreamtobetheupperclass.Lawrencewasherpsychologicaldependence.Thesonoftheminer’sfamilygrewupundertheshelterofhismother,andengenderedtheabnormallovewhichwasdifferentfromthecommonhumanemotion.Afterthedeathofhismother,Lawrenceterminatedtheengagementwithhisfiancé.Nosoonlater,LawrencegotacquaintedwithFriedWeeklyandfellinlovewithher.Atlast,LawrenceandFriedWeeklyeloped,whichwasregardedasthestrongevidenceofMotherComplexunderLawrencebecauseFrieda,thewifeofaprofessorandamotherofthreechildrenwhowas6yearsolderthanLawrenceandmadeupfortheMotherFixationofLawrence.Suchlovewasreviledbypeoplebecauseithaddistortedthemorallove.
PaulMorelwasborninaminer’sfamilythathisfatherMr.MorelwasatotallyilliterateminerandhismotherGertrudewasprimaryschoolteacherwhowasborninagoodoldburgherfamily,famousindependentswhohadfoughtwithColonelHutchinson,and,whoremainedstoutcongregationlists.MorelandGertrudegotacquaintedatadancingparty,soonertheyfellinlovewitheachotherandgotmarried.Buttheirmarriagewasafailure.Quarrelsbetweentheyoungcoupleneverstoppedbecauseofdifferenttemperamentsandbehaviorhabits.MorewasaroughmanwithoutanyambitionandGertrudewasanelegantandhonorablewomanwithagreatambitionthatwastheoriginoftheirfailuremarriage.Gradually,povertyanddiscordwasthethemeofthefamily.William,Paul,olderbrotherwasabrightandcapableboyandhegotajobinEngland,becametheeconomicpropofthefamily.Unluckily,theyoungmanhadamortaldiseaseanddied.TheyoungerbrotherofPaul,Arthurwasaplayboythatdidnotengageinhonestworkandjoinedthearmywithoutanythinking.Paul,theonlyboyathome,becametheonlyhopeofhismother,Gertrude.Shetriedherbesttoraisedhimandhopethatonedayhecouldgetridofpovertyofminersandmadeupforherfailuremarriage.Pauldidnotdisappointhismotherthathewoncreditforher.Hisdrawingdidnotonlywintheprizebutalsosoldforagoodprice.Allofthesehedidwastopleasehismotherandmadeherproud.ThefirstgirlfellinlovewithPaulwasMiriamwhowasfromthewilleyFarm.Theyheldthecommoningoalsespeciallyinliteratureandpainting.Theyreallymatchedwell.Unfortunately,thelovedidnotlastlong.Theirdatewasinterferedwithbyhismotherbecauseshewasafraidoflosinghisson.Paulrealizedthathisfaithfullovebelongedtohismother.WhenheknewthatthedatewithMiriamhadhurthismotherheregrettedhisbehaviorandcouldnotbear,sothathedecidedtoseparatefromMiriam.ThesecondwomaninPaul’slifewasClarawhowasamarriedwoman.Becauseofnotgettingalongwithhishusband,Claraseparatedwithherhusbandwithalegaldivorce.ClarawasawildlyenthusiasticandsexywomanthatPaulwasattractedbyherfascination.However,theemotioninPaul’sheart,however,belongstohismother.Thepeoplehelovedmostwashismothernotthesexywoman.Thelovealsoendednotlong.TheloveofPaulandhismotherbecamemothercomplexfromthelovebetweenmothersandsons.Becauseofendlessconflicts,Mrs.Morelwasmentallyandphysicallyexhaustedthatshediedoftumorattheend.Fromthenon,Paulgotridoftheshacklesofhismotherandledinindependentlife.
Asweknow,itisatragedyforawomantomarryawrongman,sowasGertrude.Becauseofasuddenpassion,thegirl,Gertrudefromarichandpowerfulfamilymarriedthepoorminer.Whenthepassiondisappearedshefoundthemanwasveryroughandhecouldnotbereliedon.Theendlessquarrelsmadeherdreambrokenthatshelavishedherloveonhersecondson,Paul,afterthedeathoftheoldestson.Therewassomuchhopeonherthatshewantedtocontrolhissonincludingbehaviorandsoul,sothathewouldneverturnthebackonherandwentwithanothergirl.OncethereweretwogirlsappearedinPaul’slife,thenthewarsbroke.ThefirstwarwasbetweenGertrudeandMiriam.GertruderealizedthatMiriamwasaformidableenemywhowoulddeprivehersonfromher.Assheknewhissonhadbeeninlovewiththegirlwhowaseveryyoungandbeautiful.Themostimportantthingwasthattheboyandthegirlfoundeachothercongenialandheldthesameideaincommon,especiallyintheartworld.Theycouldcommunicatewitheachotherintheirminds,ofwhichGertrudecouldnotdo.SowhenPaulwaslateforhome.BecauseofthedatawithMiriam,Mr.MorelswaseveryangryanddescribedMiriamas“oneofthosewhowillwanttosuckaman’ssoulouttillhehadnoneofhisownleft.”AlthoughshedidnotfightwithMiriamdirectly,thewarwasveryacute.SheinflictedthepressureonhersonandshrewherhateofMiriamandafraidoflosinghersonbeforePaul.Thatwasamentalwar.ThepressurereallymadePaulmadbecausewhenhismotherwasupsethewouldfellremorseforherandtorturedverymuch.TowardsMiriam,shetreatedhercoollywhenMiriamcametovisitherfamilysometimes;allthemembersandfriendsoftheMorel’sfamilywhofollowedMrs.MorelkeptdistancefromMiriamandisolatedthegirl.Astotheobstruction,MiriamjustsneeredatPaulbecauseshedidnoknowwhyhismotherdislikedherandPauljustfollowedhismother.TherewasnodoubtthatMiriamwouldbedefeated.AnotherwarbrokeinMrs.MorelandClara.Mrs.MoreldefinitelyknewthatshewouldbethewinnerofthewarbecauseshewassurethathersonwouldbetiedoftheClara.AfterthefirstvisitClaratoPaul’sfamilyMorelMrs.foundthathadsomethingattractedtoPaul.Clarawasapassionateandsexywoman,ofwhichwasmostattractedtoPaul,amaturewoman.ButinMrs.Morel’smind,ClaracouldnotkeepthepassionofPaulbecauseshewasavulgarwomanwithoutdeepthoughtthatshecouldnotmasterthesoulofPaulandPaulshouldthrowawayhissoulforthisflippanttraff
