摘要
本文介绍和分析了中西方思维差异对影视作品翻译的影响。
通过对中西方影视作品翻译的研究,我们一方面可以培养自己的探究技能,另一方面也可以探究在影视作品台词和翻译的对比之中所体现出的中西方思维的异同,从而避免误解,正确理解他国的文化。
本文通过研究影视作品中台词和翻译之间的异同,探索其所体现的中西方思维的差异。
首先,本文从文化的角度研究中西方在思维方式上的差异,探讨这些差异的由来及其演变。
然后,对比中西方影视作品中常见的翻译中体现的差异。
最后,分析中西方思维差异在影视作品翻译上的体现。

ABSTRACT
ThispapergivesabriefintroductionandanalysisoftheimpactofChineseandWesternthinkingdifferencesonthescreentranslation.ThroughthestudyonthescreentranslationbetweenChineseandwestern,ononehandwecancultivateourresearchskills,ontheotherhandwecanalsoexplorethesimilaritiesanddifferencesofworksinthetranslationthatinfilmandtelevisionworksandcontrastreflectsofChineseandWesternthinking,soastoavoidmisunderstanding,andgetacorrectunderstandingofothercountry'sculture.Throughthestudyoffilmandtelevisionworksandthesimilaritiesanddifferencesoftranslation,weaimtoexploretheChineseandWesternthinkingdifferences.Firstofall,thisarticleexploresthesedifferencesintheoriginandevolutionfromtheangleofcultureofChineseandwesterninthedifferencesinwaysofthinking.Then,pointsoutthecontrastbetweenChineseandWesternmovieandtelevisionworksinthecommontranslationdifferences.Finally,makesananalysisofChineseandWesternthinkingdifferencesinthetranslationofmovieworks.

1.1Thecurrentsituationofthescreentranslation
Withtherapiddevelopment,theworldlinkedmoreandmorecloselytoday.Thefilmandtelevisionworkstoday,asaglobalandpopularmedia,inadirectandrapidway,isareflectionofthethinkingdifferenceinthedisseminationandcommunication.UnderstandingthedifferencesofChineseandWesterninthinkingwilldogreathelptounderstandthesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweenforeignlanguageofboththeoriginalscriptandthelatertranslations.
1.2Thehistoryofthestudyonfilmandtelevisionworks
Studiesonthescreentranslationfieldinitialedinthewesterncountries,andnowtheexpertswhoareactiveintheforefrontofthefieldaremainlywesternscholars,especiallytheEuropeanresearchers.Ivarsson,aSwedensubtitletranslator,publishedSubtitlingfortheMedia:
AHandbookofanArt(Ivarsson,1992).ThisbookcanbesaidtobethefirstcomprehensivestudyofsubtitletranslationofbookinEurope,andinthebook,Ivarssondescribesindetailthesubtitletranslationtechnologydevelopment.Theexperiencethattheauthorlongengagedintranslationpracticemakesthebookintranslationskillsandotheraspectsone-upmanship,andhastheoreticalvalueandpracticalvalueatthesametime.In1998,withthehelpofCarroll,Ivarssonpublishedthesecondeditionofthebook,addingmanystrategiesandskillssuchasdigitaltechnologyandothernewtechnologiesunderthescreentranslationintothebook,andthetitlewaschangedtobemoreneutralasSubtitlingatthesametime.Ivarssoncanbesaidtobetheclearleaderofthescreentranslationfield.Thescopehisresearchinvolvesisdeepandwide,Hisstudyarequiteaccomplishedatthepointontheclassificationofthetranslationmodel,thestrategiesandskillsofthescreentranslation,andtheaudienceofscreentranslationandsoon.
1.3ThescreentranslationinChina
Chinastartedlatecomparedwithwesterncountries,thenumberofrelatedpapersandmonographsofthescreentranslationcanbesaidtobemuchrarer.ProfessorQianShaochang,fromSchoolofJournalismandCommunicationofShanghaiInternationalStudiesUniversity,isoneofthemostfamousscholarsinthefieldofmediatranslation,andhepublishedthepaper"FilmTranslation-GrowingImportanceofTranslationField"in2000andcalledforthetranslationfieldtogiveattentiontothescreentranslation.Inthispaperhepointedouttheimportanceofscreentranslation,thein-depthanalysisofthefilmlanguageandliteraryworksandwrittenlanguagedifference,andsummarizesfivecharacteristicsofthelanguageaboutfilmandtelevisionwork.Theyarethecharacteristicoflisten,thecharacteristicofcomprehensive,thecharacteristicofmoments,thecharacteristicofpopularandthecharacteristicofwithoutinjection.Andbasedonhisexperienceformanyyearsoftranslation,heputforwardthesevenexperiencestothescreentranslation.Hebelievesthatinfilmtranslation,toachievethegoalof"Fluency"isofthemostimportanceamongthe"Honesty,FluencyandElegancy".
1.4Significanceofthestudy
Translationasaconversionactivityfromonelanguagetoanotherlanguage,itinnatureisnotonlyakindoflanguageactivity,butalsoakindofthinkingactivity.InthelonghistoricalprocessofChineseandWesterndevelopment,ithasformedgreatdifferencesonthewayofthinking.Thisdifferencehasoftenbeenoverlookedintheconversionprocessofthetwolanguages,anditmakesthetranslationtobeobscurity,orevenmistake.Therefore,understandingtheChineseandWesterndifferencesinthinkingisofgreathelptounderstandthesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweentheoriginalscriptandlatertranslation.
2.ChineseandWesternthinkingdifferences
Thinkingdifferencesrefertotheexpressionssharedbydifferentcountriesbutimplyingdifferentconnotation.Althoughhumanbeingshavethesamebiologicaldrive,theykeeptheirownuniquewayoflife,setofmindandvalueswhichareshapedbytheiruniqueexperienceincertaincircumstances.
2.1Differencesinvalues
Valuesarethedefiningexpressionsofthinking.Theyexpressinwordsanddeedswhatisimportanttothinking.Valueisthebedrockandenduringofthinking.Itcannotbechangedquicklyoreasily.Thinkofvaluesastheverystrongandrigidfoundationonwhichmutableattitudesrest.Attitudesare,inturn,influencedbyvalues,aswellasbymanyothersources.
Obviously,translationhastobeconsistentwithvalues,butcannoteasilyorquicklychanges.Whattranslatorsshoulddoistomakethetranslationsconsistentwiththevaluesofapeople.Iftheyarenot,theywillbelikelyrejected.
Manyarguethatthebest(mosteffective)translationsarethosethatbestexpressandaffirmcorethinkingvalues.Forexample,oneAmericancorevalueisindividualism,orthepredispositiontovaluetheindividualoverthegroup.ItisatthecenterofAmericansocialidentity.Translatorsthatcelebrateoraffirmthisvaluearemorelikelytosucceedthantheonesthatdenigrateorignoreit.
2.2Differencesinviewpoints
Peopleallholdaviewofthemselves.Chinesethinkinghasthemonismviewpointandthewesternthinkinghasthepluralismviewpoint."Natureandhumanareinoneness"isoneofChinesephilosophyconceptsinChinesetraditionalthinking.Itinsiststhatnatureandhumanshouldbeinharmony.ContrarytotheChinesethinking,thewesternthinkinginsistsontheviewofpluralism.Itemphasizesonthechangesanddifferencesofthematter,self-development,andenterprisingspirits.
SomeChinesetranslatorsmeettheculturepsychologyofChinesepublic,andcreatesomepreferabletranslationwords.Theyshowtheideasinwesternvaluesystemthatpeoplecanchangeeverythingandpeoplecancreateeverything.Thetranslationsmanifestthebeliefthatpeopleshouldpursuitthefreedomandself-development,andcreatethefuture.Theseexpressionssatisfytheconsumers'personalitydevelopmentandarousetheagreeableresponses.
2.3Differencesinauthority
Authorityworshipistheproductofstate.Becauseofpowerconcentrationundermonarchthathadreignedforthousandsofyears,Chinesehaveastronghierarchicalnotion.Fromtheangleofthe"Honesty"oftranslation,thisattitudeismainlyembodiedinauthorityworship.
2.4Differencesinnationalcharacterandaestheticstandards
