Introduction
Punctuationisthesystemofsymbolsthatweusetoseparatesentencesandpartsofsentences,andtomaketheirmeaningclear.Eachsymboliscalleda“punctuationmark”.Punctuationhelpstoclarifyandsometimesemphasizesthemeaningofasentence.Itisnecessarytolearntouseallthepunctuationmarkscorrectly.AlthoughtherearegeneralrulesforEnglishpunctuation,therearedifferencesofstylesbetween,forexample,BritishandAmericanEnglish,somepublishersandsomewriters.
