However,DrSherwinsaidtheywouldnowneedmoreprecisedatatotrytounderstandwhichfactors,suchasincreaseduseofdistancevision,reduceduseofnearvision,naturalultraviolet(紫外线的)lightexposure(暴露)andphysicalactivity,aremostimportant.

“Anyincreaseintimespentoutdoorsmustbeweighedagainstexposuretoultravioletradiationandtheincreasedriskofskincancer,cataracts(白内障)andothercancers.”hesaid."Ontheotherhand,increasingoutdoorphysicalactivitycouldprotectagainstdiabetesandobesity,forexample."
