中国高铁将降速

ThehighspeedrailwayconnectsBeijingwithfiveprovincialcapitals.Partoftheline,fromZhengzhoutoGuangzhou,wasalreadyinoperation.TheopeningoftheBeijingtoZhengzhousectionhasconnectedtheentireline,whichspansatotallengthof2,298kilometers.
ZhaoChunlei,deputydirectorofMinistryofRailways,said,"Thehighspeedrailwillpromoteregionaleconomicintegrationandurbanizationalongtheroute.Itconnectstheonceseparatedhighspeedraillines,boostingpassengerflowsandeconomicexchanges.Itwillalsoeasetrafficpressures,especiallyduringtheSpringFestivaltravelpeak."
Beingthelongesthigh-speedrailwayintheworld,theBeijing-GuangzhoulineconnectsonethirdofChina’spopulationandmorethan40-percentofitseconomicpower.Ordinarycommuterswillbenefitfromtheefficientnetwork,andfindthattheirhometownsarenotthatfaraway.
