MainAdvantagesoftheHTMLversionofTPDM:

∙EaseofNavigation:

ThehtmlversionofTPDMallowsuserstonavigatebetweendifferentsections,chapters,andvolumewithrelativeease.

∙Minimizedownloadtime:

thehtmlversionofTPDMallowsuserstoloadaspecificsectionunderaparticularchapterinaVolume.ThereisnoneedtodownloadtheentirePDFfileofaspecificVolume.

∙Noneedforplug-in:

UnlikePDFfileswhichrequireaspecificplug-intoready,thereisnoneedtoinstallanyplug-inonuser'scomputertoreadthehtmlversionofTPDM.AnycomputerwithinternetbrowserwillbeabletoaccessandreadthehtmlversionofTPDM

∙Linkagetoothersection:

ThehtmlversionofTPDMallowsthecreatorofthedocumenttoplacelinkstoothersectionofthemanualwithinthedocument.Withsuchlinks,userscanmovefromonesectionofthemanualtoothersectionwithasimplemouse-click.

TPDMStructure:

ThecurrenthtmlversionofTPDMemploysa3-levelsystemforeasynavigationbetweendifferentsectionsofthemanual.DetailsofeachleveloftheTPDMmanualareasfollows:

∙ContentMenu:

Listallavailablevolumes.Usercangotothespecificvolumeofhis/herchoicefromherebyselectingthecorrespondingvolumefromthepulldownmenu.

∙VolumeMenu:

Displaysallavailablechaptersinavolumewithlinkstoallthesectionswithinachapter.AtopframeisalsoplacedontheVolumelevelsuchthatusercanmovefromonevolumetoothervolumeeasily.UsercanalsogobacktotheContentsmenuoractivatethesearchfunctionforthatspecificvolumebyclickingthecorrespondinglinkonscreen.

∙Sections:

Displayaspecificsectionwithinachapter.Similartothevolumemenu,thereisalsoatopframeoneachsection.Userscangobacktoboththe"Content"ortheVolumemenufromthetopframe.Usercanalsogotoanothersectionbyselectingthecorrespondingsectionfromthepull-downmenuoraccessthesearchpageforaspecificvolume.

UsageofTPDM:

UserscanperformthefollowingfunctionsinthehtmlversionofTPDM:

∙NavigationbetweendifferentpartsoftheTPDM:

LinkshavebeenplacedintheTPDMmanualthatwillallowuserstogofromonepartofthemanualtootherpartwithasimplemouseclick.（SeeAttached）Ifthetargetlocationisresidedinthesamehtmlfile,theresultwillbeshowninthesamebrowserwindow.Ifthetargetlocationisresidedinanotherhtmlfile（ie.Othersection/Volume）,theresultwillbeshowninanewbrowser.

∙CopyTPDMcontentstootherapplications:

Usercancopytheentire/partofthecontentofahtmlfiletootherapplication（ie.Word,Exceletc,.）

Tocopytheentirecontentsofahtmlfile:

1.Openthehtmlfilethatyouwouldliketocopy

2.PressCtrl-Atoselectallcontents

3.PressCtrl-Ctocopytheselectedcontents

4.Starttheapplicationtowhichyouwouldliketocopythecontentsto

5.PressCtrl-Ptopastethecopiedcontenttotheapplication.

Tocopypartofthehtmlfiletootherapplication:

1.Highlightthepartofthehtmldocumentyouwouldliketocopy.

2.PressCtrl-Ctocopytheselectedcontents

3.Starttheapplicationtowhichyouwouldliketocopythecontentsto

4.PressCtrl-Ptopastethecopiedcontenttotheapplication.

∙SaveTPDMfilestolocaldrive

UserscansaveanyhtmlfiletotheirownPCs:

1.Openthehtmlfilewhichyouwouldliketosave

2.Select"File"fromtopmenubarofyourbrowser

3.Select"SaveAs"fromthepulldownmenu

4.Selectthedestinationwhereyouwouldliketosavethedocumentto.

∙PrintTPDM:

Userscanprintanentirehtmlfileorpartofit.

Toprintanentirehtmlfile:

1.Openthehtmlfilethatyouwouldliketoprint

2.Select"File"fromthetopmenubarofyourbrowser

3.Select"Print"fromthepulldownmenu

4.Select"Confirm"toprintallcontentofthehtmlfile

Toprintpartofthehtmlfile:

1.Openthehtmlfilethatyouwouldliketoprint

2.Highlightthepartofthehtmlfile

3.Select"File"fromthetopmenubarofyourbrowser

4.Select"Print"fromthepulldownmenu

5.Checktheoption"SelectedRegion"fromprintoptionscreen

6.Select"Confirm"toprinttheselectedpartofthehtmlfile

∙SearchforkeywordinaVolume:

ThehtmlversionofTPDMhasbuilt-inafunctiontoallowuserstosearchforcontentswithinaparticularvolume.Toaccessthesearchpageforaspecificvolume

1.GotoeithertheVolumelevelorthesectionlevel.

2.Clickonthe"Search"linkinthetopframe

3.Keyinthekeywordthatyouwouldliketosearchfor

4.Pressthe"Search"button.

5.Section（s）withinthespecificVolumethatcontain（s）thekeywordswillbedisplayedintheresultlist.（Remarks:

Thesectionwiththehighestnumberofhitswillbelistedatthetopoftheresultlist）

6.Togoanyofthesection,simplyclickonthelinkintheresultbox.Thesectionthatyouhavechosenwillbedisplayedinapopupwindow.

∙Searchforkeywordonapage:

ThehtmlversionofTPDMalsoallowsuserstosearchforkeywordwithinahtmldocument.Tosearchforakeywordinahtmldocument:

1.PressCtrl-Ftoactivatethesearchbox

2.Keyinthekeyword

3.Pressthe"FindNext"button.Wordsfoundonthepagewillbehighlighted.
