2、ions, chapters, and volume with relative ease.Minimize download time: the html version of TPDM allows users to load a specific section under a particular chapter in a Volume. There is no need to download the entire PDF file of a specific Volume.No need for plug-in: Unlike PDF files which require a s

3、pecific plug-in to ready, there is no need to install any plug-in on users computer to read the html version of TPDM. Any computer with internet browser will be able to access and read the html version of TPDMLinkage to other section: The html version of TPDM allows the creator of the document to pl

4、ace links to other section of the manual within the document. With such links, users can move from one section of the manual to other section with a simple mouse-click.TPDM Structure:The current html version of TPDM employs a 3-level system for easy navigation between different sections of the manua

5、l. Details of each level of the TPDM manual are as follows:Content Menu: List all available volumes. User can go to the specific volume of his/her choice from here by selecting the corresponding volume from the pull down menu. Volume Menu: Displays all available chapters in a volume with links to al

6、l the sections within a chapter. A top frame is also placed on the Volume level such that user can move from one volume to other volume easily. User can also go back to the Contents menu or activate the search function for that specific volume by clicking the corresponding link on screen. Sections:

7、Display a specific section within a chapter. Similar to the volume menu, there is also a top frame on each section. Users can go back to both the Content or the Volume menu from the top frame. User can also go to another section by selecting the corresponding section from the pull-down menu or acces

8、s the search page for a specific volume.Usage of TPDM:Users can perform the following functions in the html version of TPDM:Navigation between different parts of the TPDM: Links have been placed in the TPDM manual that will allow users to go from one part of the manual to other part with a simple mo

9、use click. (See Attached) If the target location is resided in the same html file, the result will be shown in the same browser window. If the target location is resided in another html file (ie. Other section/Volume), the result will be shown in a new browser.Copy TPDM contents to other application

10、s: User can copy the entire/part of the content of a html file to other application (ie. Word, Excel etc,.) To copy the entire contents of a html file:1.Open the html file that you would like to copy2.Press Ctrl-A to select all contents3.Press Ctrl-C to copy the selected contents4.Start the applicat

11、ion to which you would like to copy the contents to 5.Press Ctrl-P to paste the copied content to the application.To copy part of the html file to other application:1.Highlight the part of the html document you would like to copy.2.Press Ctrl-C to copy the selected contents3.Start the application to

12、 which you would like to copy the contents to 4.Press Ctrl-P to paste the copied content to the application.Save TPDM files to local driveUsers can save any html file to their own PCs:1.Open the html file which you would like to save2.Select File from top menu bar of your browser3.Select Save As fro

13、m the pull down menu4.Select the destination where you would like to save the document to.Print TPDM: Users can print an entire html file or part of it. To print an entire html file:1.Open the html file that you would like to print2.Select File from the top menu bar of your browser3.Select Print fro

14、m the pull down menu4.Select Confirm to print all content of the html fileTo print part of the html file:1.Open the html file that you would like to print2.Highlight the part of the html file 3.Select File from the top menu bar of your browser4.Select Print from the pull down menu5.Check the option

15、Selected Region from print option screen6.Select Confirm to print the selected part of the html fileSearch for keyword in a Volume: The html version of TPDM has built-in a function to allow users to search for contents within a particular volume. To access the search page for a specific volume1.Go t

16、o either the Volume level or the section level. 2.Click on the Search link in the top frame3.Key in the keyword that you would like to search for4.Press the Search button. 5.Section(s) within the specific Volume that contain(s) the keywords will be displayed in the result list. (Remarks: The section

17、 with the highest number of hits will be listed at the top of the result list)6.To go any of the section, simply click on the link in the result box. The section that you have chosen will be displayed in a pop up window.Search for keyword on a page: The html version of TPDM also allows users to search for keyword within a html document. To search for a keyword in a html document:1.Press Ctrl-F to activate the search box2.Key in the keyword3.Press the Find Next button. Words found on the page will be highlighted.
