ThisStandardwaspreparedbytheJointStandardsAustralia/StandardsNewZealand

CommitteeBD-021,DoorsandWindows,tosupersede,AS2047—1999,Windowsin

buildings.Afterallowingsufficienttimeforadjustment（nominally12monthsfrom

publication）,thesupersededdocumentwillbewithdrawn.

（f）Theguidetowindpressures（AppendixA）hasbeenrevisedtoensurealignmentwith

AS1170.2.

（g）AppendixB（Environmentalconsiderations）hasbeenincludedtoensurealignment

withcurrentStandards.

ThisStandardspecifiesrequirements,materials,construction,installationandglazingfor

therequirementsofAS/NZS4284willbedeemedtosatisfytherequirementsofthisStandard,

providedthewindowshavebeentestedtoAS4420.3（operatingforcetest）.
