1Introduction

ThisdocumentshowsthesuggestedformatandappearanceofamanuscriptpreparedforSPIEjournals.Acceptedpaperswillbeprofessionallytypeset.Thistemplateisintendedtobeatooltoimprovemanuscriptclarityforthereviewers.Thefinallayoutofthetypesetpaperwillnotmatchthistemplatelayout.

1.1UseofThisTemplate

AuthorsmayusethisMicrosoft（MS）WordtemplatebyemployingtherelevantstylesfromtheStylesandFormattinglist（whichisaccessedfromtheStylesgroupintheHomeribbon,Fig.1）:

Thissectiondescribesthenormalstructureofamanuscriptandhoweachpartshouldbehandled.

2.1TitleandAuthorNames

Thearticletitleappearsleftjustifiedatthetopofthefirstpage.Thetitlefontis16pt,bold.Therulesforcapitalizingthetitlearethesameasforsentences;

onlythefirstword,propernouns,andacronymsshouldbecapitalized.Donotbegintitleswitharticles（e.g.,a,an,the）orprepositions（e.g.,on,by,etc.）.Theword“novel”shouldnotappearinthetitle,aspublicationwillimplynovelty.Avoidtheuseofacronymsinthetitle,unlesstheyarewidelyunderstood.AppendixAcontainsmoreaboutacronyms.

2.3SubjectTerms/Keywords

Thebodyofthepaperconsistsofnumberedsectionsthatpresentthemainfindings.Thesesectionsshouldbeorganizedtobestpresentthematerial.

SPIEjournalsdonotacceptsupplementarymaterials.However,itisacceptabletoincludeanAppendixwhennecessary,suchasderivationsofequations,proofsoftheorems,anddetailsofalgorithms.EquationsandfiguresappearinginAppendicesshouldcontinuesequentialnumberingfromearlierinthepaper.
