In1836,hethendecidedtowritehisfirstbook,PickwickPapers,akindofcomicforadults.ThisbookwasfollowedbymanymoreincludingOliverTwist,NicholasNickleby,andsoon.Withthesebooks,Dickenscontinuedtodescribethepoorconditionsthattheworkingclassesandpoorpeoplehadtoliveunder.Hehopedthatbydoingso,thingscouldchangeforthebetterbutthesituationjustseemedtogetworse.
