掌握本课新单词、句型和怎样描述一个人的外貌。

掌握正确运用have动词和be动词的描述人物外貌的方法。

（一）复习旧知

StepI.Warming-up:

Playagame“Pollysays…”.TelltheSstherules：

IfPollysaystouchyoureyes/ears/nose/mouth/shoulder/legs/arms.Youshoulddoit.Ifitdoesn’tsaythat,youcan’tdoit.Ifyouarewrong,youhavetositdown.Thepersonwhodoesitcorrectlyisthewinner.

（二）新课导学

找出三名外貌差异较大的学生来做比较，一个胖而高大的男生（afatandtallboy），一个瘦而较矮的男生（athinandshortboy），一个中等身材（ofmediumheight）。

然后用这三名学生为例教heavy,tall,thin,short引出句型：

1.Whatdoyoulooklike?

He’sreallytall.Hehasshortstraighthair.

2.Whatdoesshelooklike?

She’sofmediumbuild.

GooverthespellingandthepronunciationofthenewwordswiththeSs.

Ⅱ.Presentation（SectionA1a）

1.Matchthewordswiththepeopleinthepicture.（1a）2-3分钟读写1a中的单词、短语。

2.引导学生熟悉有关描述人的外貌特征的词

（1）操练“Whatdoeshelooklike?

Heisreallytall.”注意be动词的用法。

（2）.复习身体的各部位（ear,face,hair,eye,nose,mouthhair）。

然后操练“Whatdoeshelooklike?

1.阅读指导：

首先，应读每个句子，理解句子的意思；然后，应根据主语的单复数形式来确定谓语动词或助动词的单复数形式。

之后，还要看动词后面是形容词还是名词，这样来确定是用is还是has/have;最后，通读一遍本句子，看是否通顺。
