2.日期的英文表达:

英语中月份和星期名称都是专有名词,它们的首字母必须大写,并且前面无需用冠词。

用英文来表示日期,其顺序为“月+日+年”日和年之间需要用逗号隔开;

也可以用“日+月+年”来表示。

3.athree-dayholiday表示“三天的假期”。

带连字符的名词不加s,后面可接名词,在句中做定语。

4.assoonas意为“一…就…”,一般用于引导时间状语从句。

如果主句用将来时,含有情态动词或为祈使句时,从句必须用一般一般现在时。

如:

3.until可作介词或连词,意为“到…时候为此;

直到...才…”,如果主句中的谓语动词是终此性动词,应采用“not…until…”的结构,意为“直到…才…”。

1.It’satimeforaspecialdinneramongfamilyandfriends.

1)It’stimefor(sb)(doing)sth.=It’stime(forsb.)todosth,意为“是做某事的时间了,该做某事了。

2)among意为“在…之中”,表示位于三者或三者以上之间,其宾语通常是表示笼统数量或具有复数意义的名词或代词。

例如:

注意;

between与among的区别:

between指两者之间,among指三者或更多的事物之中。

2.Thereareplentyofotherthingstoseeanddo.

1)plentyof意为“大量;

许多”,其后可以接可数名词或不可数名词,大多数用于肯定句中,相当于alotof/lotsof.

2)toseeanddo是不定式作后置定语,修饰things,意为“可看的和可做的事情”。

不定式作定语时常常置于被修饰词的后面。
