摘要
工业革命之后,英国变成了世界上最强大的国家。
而英国人也已经厌倦了这种顶着巨大工作压力的生活状态,并且十分渴望逃离这个城市的喧嚣并且去开始一种新的轻松的生活。
随着英国历史文化的不断发展,英国的旅游业开始变得越来越流行起来。
除传统的贵族阶层的优雅度假形式,富裕的中产阶级、政府官员、基层工人和普通市民也纷纷加入,旅游人数剧增,旅游阶层日益扩大,1841年世界上第一家旅行社ThomasCook在英国诞生,使原先分散、自发、单个的私人旅游活动发展为有组织、社会化的行为,继而成为一项经济、文化性事业。
昔日的英国曾通过殖民的方式将英伦文化传播到全球许多国家和地区,同时也把世界各地的文明掠回英伦,这使得英国有着丰富的国际元素及本土特色的历史文化资源,成为世界级旅游目的地。
很明显,英国历史的发展无疑对英国旅游业的发展有巨大的影响。
这将能够对我们国家在开发旅游业的同时宝保护本国文化有一定的借鉴意义。

1.Introduction
Britainisthefirstcountrythatisindustrializedandurbanizedintheworld.Asthecradleoftheindustrialrevolution,Britainwasoncethemostpowerfulcountryintheworld.Britishwhowasunderthegreatpressureeagertoputasidethecoldmachine,factoriesthatwasfullofairpollutionandbackintotheembraceofnature,sotheleisuretourismbecamemoreandmorepopular.Inthepast,BritainusedtospreadBritishculturetomanycountriesandregionsoftheworldbythewayofcolonization,atthesametime,ithasbroughtthecivilizationofallovertheworld,whichmadeBritainbecomeaworld-classtouristdestinationwithrichinternationalelementsandhistoricalculturalresourcesinlocalcharacteristics.Withtherapiddevelopmentoftourism,thenationalimageofBritainhasbeenimprovedconstantly.Whilepromotingnationalbrands,nationalself-confidenceandculturalpridehavebeenstrengthened.
