PEP8第一单元“Amy’stallerthanLingling.”介绍了MrsSmart’sclass.通过比较Amy,Lingling,Daming,Sam的高矮、年龄、强壮与否学习新任务：
（1）新单词than,old,young,strong.复习旧单词tall,short。
（2）引出并学会使用形容词的比较级。
如older,younger,stronger,taller,shorter.（3）学会运用“sb.is+adj.erthansb.”句型。
我在设计这堂课时，借用了学生熟悉的喜欢的明星（姚明、潘长江、奥呢尔、巩汉林、成龙、释小龙）的图片，学生一看就非常感兴趣。
利用他们明显相对的特征教学形容词及比较级，如：
“YaoMingistall.”“PanChangjiangisshort.”“YaoMingistallerthanPanChangjiang.”“PanChangjiangisshorterthanYaoMing.”学生很容易很轻松就懂得了tall－short；
taller－shorter；
tall－taller；
short－shorter及than的用法及其关系。
然后再安排“GroupWork”、“PairWork”等形式让学生学会灵活的运用这些知识。
虽然这节课的新内容较多，但通过多媒体手段的运用，灵活的组织课堂，投其所好的选择学生喜欢的材料组织课的内容，很轻松的完成了教学任务，并达到了预期的目标。
由此，让我想到自己平常和一些同行同仁常感叹：
“现在教材难教，现在学生难教，……！
”其实是因为我们没有经心的专研教学目标、内容、材料与学生喜好之间的关系。
只要我们“投其所好”的选材、精心组织课堂结构，就能激活课堂、激活学生思维，、从而取得良好的教育教学效果。

本课时的主要语言项目是用英语表述自己的身高和体重，通过A部分五个英语词汇的掌握，融入到新句型当中。
让学生通过做动作或实际比较可以很快理解并熟练掌握这些相关内容，达到能实际运用的目的。
