[设计理念]:
新课程标准倡导要让学生自主探究学习，本课时以此出发，充分利用节日歌曲、节日图片、节日常吃的食物等所有和节日有关的东西，为学生创设了浓厚的节日氛围，从而自内心产生学习探究的强烈愿望，并由此引发学生对美好生活的热爱。
[设计思路]:
本课时主要学习五个中国的节日，首先，从学生熟悉的节日歌曲和入手，导入课题holidays，并引出chineseholidays，学生已学过的有nationalday,children’sday，由此进入第一个节日children’sday的学习。
紧接着，依次学习mid-autumnfestival、dragonboatfestival、springfestival、mayday。
在节日的学习过程中，我采用看图说话、音乐欣赏、节日热闹场面欣赏、节日习俗交流、网络浏览等各种各样的方式，引导学生不断地思考，不断地动脑、动口、动耳、动手，调动全身感官参与学习。
最后的巩固阶段，我主要分成三步，第一步，看日期，猜节日。
第二步，看节日描述，猜单词。
第三步，听和节日相关的歌曲或音乐，猜单词。
同时，组与组之间进行比赛，可以充分调动学生的学习积极性。
最后，全文在送给学生的两句话中结束“enjoyourlife!
enjoyeveryday!
”引导学生珍惜生命，热爱生活！

对学生来说，节日总是很诱人的。
因为可以有好玩的，有好吃的，有好看的……小孩子快乐的理由总是那么简单，因此，让学生说一说知道的节日来引出教学，可以让学生自由想象，自由发挥，说出自己最喜爱的节日名称，学习的主动性也由此发挥出来了。
儿童节无疑是孩子们最喜欢的节日之一，且学生已学过，因此，放在首位进行学习。

中秋节的来历大多数学生都知道，因此，我让学生课前搜集资料，在教学时介绍给大家听，中秋节有很多民间传说，学生肯定会听得津津有味。

端午节是中国的传统节日，但我们南方的习俗只有吃粽子，以及屈原投江的传说，基本没见过龙舟赛，因此，我下载了龙舟赛的视频，让学生感受一下欢乐、热闹的节日气氛。

春节是大家最熟悉的一个节日，但是本地的春节习俗不是很多也不是很讲究，因此，我让学生课后搜集了很多春节民俗，并带了一些春节物品，如春联、灯笼……。
让学生实实在在地感受一下春节的红红火火。
再让学生回忆自己在春节的趣事，学生一定会将这个词组学得很好。

五一劳动节是每年放假最多的节日，在这个长假中，可做的事有很多，让学生回忆回忆，用英语说一说，不仅可以唤醒学生的生活乐趣，也能让学生不知不觉中掌握这个词组。

4.课件出示所有中国传统节日的图片，同桌谈论自己喜欢的节日，进行对话。

巩固环节我安排了一个小组竞赛的游戏，用听音乐或听声音来猜节日。
