1.状语从句在符合句中起状语的作用，修饰主句中的谓语动词、形容词或副词。
状语从句由从属连词引导，从属连词在句中不充当句子成分，只起连接作用。
引导条件状语的词或词组有：
if（如果；
假如）,unless（除非；
如果部）,solongas（只要）,aslongas（只要）,ifonly（只要）,等。
条件状语从句如果表示将来时间，要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。
我们这一单元主要出现了if引导的条件状语从句，我们这里就以if为例。
例如：
Ifitrainstomorrow,we’llstayathome.如果明天下雨的话，我们就待在家里。
Ifthetelephonerings,I’llanswerit.如果电话响了，我去接。
Ifhedoesn’tinviteme,Iwon’tgotomorrow.如果他不邀请我，我明天是不会去的。
