1.状语从句在符合句中起状语的作用,修饰主句中的谓语动词、形容词或副词。

状语从句由从属连词引导,从属连词在句中不充当句子成分,只起连接作用。

引导条件状语的词或词组有:

if(如果;

假如),unless(除非;

如果部),solongas(只要),aslongas(只要),ifonly(只要),等。

条件状语从句如果表示将来时间,要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。

我们这一单元主要出现了if引导的条件状语从句,我们这里就以if为例。

例如:

Ifitrainstomorrow,we’llstayathome.如果明天下雨的话,我们就待在家里。

Ifthetelephonerings,I’llanswerit.如果电话响了,我去接。

Ifhedoesn’tinviteme,Iwon’tgotomorrow.如果他不邀请我,我明天是不会去的。
