2.1Definitionofjournalism
Theword“journalism”isderivedfrom“journal”originatingfromtheLatinword“diurnalis”whichmeans“day”.NewWebster’sDictionaryoftheEnglishLanguagedefines“journal”as“anewspaperorotherperiodicalpublisheddaily;
anymagazineorperiodical,esp.,onepublishedforaspecialpurpose”.Tobebrief,journalispublishedregularly(daily,weekly,ormonthly,etc.),anditprovidessomeup-datedinformationforreaders.
