ThislessonistakenfromtheNewJuniorEnglishforChinesestudentsBook3,publishedbythePeople’sEducationPress.Thetopicofthisunitishowdoyougettoschool,andwewilltalkaboutthecommontraffictoolsandthebasicnumbersindailylife,aswellasthesentencestructure,Thislessonisthemiddlepartofthebook,soitplaysatransitionalroleinthisbook.

2、Aims

(1)aimsofknowledge:

a、LetstudentsgetacknowledgeaboutavarietyoftraffictoolsandtheexpressioninEnglish,forthewordsarethefoundationofcommunication;b、makethemusethesentencepattern“Howdoyougettoschool”/“Iusually…”fluently,andcouldmakesentencewiththenewwordswejustlearned.

(2)Aimsofability:

a、infrequentpractice,letstudentsgetacknowledgeaboutEnglishnumbersandtraffictools;b、caremoreaboutothers’opinionsandbemorepoliteindailylife;c、promoterelationshipsbetweenstudentsinpractice.

languageknowledgeandskills,motivationandconfidence,learningstrategies.Iwillgivespecialattentiontothedevelopmentofcompetence.

Thesentencepattern“Howdoyougettoschool”/“Iusually…”aretotallynewtothem.Itislikeaframeworkforstudentstofillintodifferentwordstoexpresstheirownideas.

【Theoreticalbasis】

1、Students:

thejunior2studentshavelearnedsomeskills,Englishforthemisfamiliar,soIshoulddeveloptheircommunicateskillsandlearningskills.

2、Learningstrategy:

communicatingwithpeopleismainlytheirstrategy,foritobeysthecommunicativerequirementinNewEnglishCurriculum.AndjuniorstudentsneedcommunicatingwithotherstokeepinterestinEnglish.

Step1Warming—up(6mins)

Showsomepicturestostudentsandletthemrecognizethetraffictools.Thenasksomestudentshowdotheygettoschoolandhowlongdoesittake.

Step2Listenandplay(10mins)

(1)Iwillletstudentslistenasetofnumbers,firstwelistenArabicnumbersandstudentsshouldwritedownEnglish,thenletthemlistenEnglishbuttheywritedownArabicones.

(2)Playanumber—writinggame,thatisIreadasetofnumberinEnglishandthreeofstudentswriteonblackboard.Atlast,wewillselectthebestone.

Iwilldrawfourpicturesontheblackboard,andwritedownsometimes.Afterfinishlistening,theyshouldmatchthepicturesandtimes.
