Abstract:
ThepaperpresentsthepossibilitytomodifytheFD250gearhobbingmachine,withadevice,inamachineapplytomanufacturinginternalgears.Redesignedandequippedwithdeviceitispossibletoobtainamachinetoolwithhigheruniversalityandapossibilitytodecreasethemanufacturingpricefortheinternalspurandhelicalgear.

1.INTRODUCTION
Thepaperpresentsthepossibilitytomanufacturetheinternalcylindricalgearsonthegearhobbingmachines.Tothepresentalmostallinternalgearswhatismanufacturedwithmetalcuttingmethodsareusethegearshapingprocedures.
Withthepresentedsolutionitispossibletoeliminatesomeproblemswhatpresupposethegearshapingmethods.Incasewhenit’smanufacturedhelicalgearforeachhelixanglethegearshaperneedavaried3Dcam.This3Dcampresentsmanytechnicalproblemswhenaremanufacturedandhisprecisionhasdirectinfluenceonthegearprecision.Onthefinancialsidethegearhobbingmachinearecheaperandhisproductivityarehigher.
2.APPLICATIONAREA
Thismethodandthedevicefindapplicabilityinbranchofgearmanufacturefirmsincasewhenitisneedstoobtaingearsforprototypeandsmallseries.Concomitantlyisapossibilitytoinvestintheexistingmachinestogrowththemachinesproductivity.
Withthepresenteddevicetheuniversalityofmachinesaregrowledanditissucceedingtomanufactureonthesamemachinedifferedtypesofgears.
3.THE“FD250”GEARHOBBINGMACHINE
TheFD250gearhobbingmachine(Figure1.)wasdesignedbytheCugirMechanicalFactoryabletomanufacturespurandhelicalgearswith250-300mmmaximaldiameterandm=6mmmaximalmodule.Onthismachineitispossibletomanufactureallwork-piecewiththegeneratingmethodinthepresentedlimits.Forhobthemaximaldimensionsarethefollows:
Dh=105mm,Lh=100mm(hobdiameterandlength).

4.THE“FD250”HOBBINGMACHINEMODIFYTOBYABLEMANUFACTUREINTERNALSGEARS
Toeffectuatethecuttingprocedurethecuttingtoolsmustbypositionedinsideofthedonutformwork-piece.Forthisthekinematicschainofprimarymotionforthehobmustbytoprolong.Thisproposedmodificationandtheoriginalkinematicschainarepresentedin(Figure2.a.respective2.b.)

Inconformitywiththeadoptedmanufacturingmethodform-copyingmethodorgeneratingmethodinkinematicschainofindexingmustintroduceamanuallyindexingdeviceforformcopyingcase.
Afteradimensionalanddesignstudythefollowpossibilityformodificationareidentified:
1-Theworkpieceisfixedontherotary-tableandthecuttingtoolindevicethatintroduceinsideontheworkpiece,withoutmodifiedtherearcolumn.(Figure.3.)

Thissolutionisapplyingincaseofworkpiecewithexternaldiameterunder330mm,becausetherearcolumnlimitstheworkpiecedimensions.
2-Theworkpiecesarefixedontherotary-tableandthecuttingtoolindevicethatintroduceinsideontheworkpieceandtherearcolumnaredismantling.(Figure.4.)

Inthiscaseit’spossibletomanufactureworkpiecewith800-850mmmaximumdiameter.Butinthiscasemustbyaccordedaseveralattentionforwhatcuttingdataarechoiceforavoidtheoverrequirethekinematicschainofindexing.ItisimportedtonotforgetthatFD250aredesignedforcuttingdataadequateforworkpiecewithmaximaldiameter250-300mm.
Theworkpieceisfixedontherotary-tableofgearhobbingmachinewithjawchurchorwithfaceplate,independsonhisdimension.
5.USEDCUTTINGTOOLS
Thepossibleusedcuttingtoolsarethefollowings:
-Gear-toothsidemillingcutter,incasewhentheinternalgeararemanufacturedwiththeform-copyingmethod,toothspacebytoothspace.(Figure.5.)
Thetoolsprofileisobtainingsimilarwiththeprofileforexternaldears,takinginconsiderationthecontactbetweenthegearsingearingareconvex-concave.
