In1875,thegovernmentgaveStraussandDavisapatent(专利)fortheirinvention.Thatmeantnooneelsecouldlegallycopyitwithouttheirpermission.In1928theLeviStrausscompanyregistered(注册)theword“Levi’s”asatrademarkfortheirproduct.
